"This is a wonderful hotel. The property is lovely. The rooms comfortable and well appointed. The staff go out of their way to assist you. (One came up to my room when I couldn't find the room service information. Bravo!). The front desk staff were really friendly and kind. I was tempted to book another night when I was informed that the weather on the US east coast was threatening. I can't think of a finer hotel experience and I have had many."

"Having had a delayed flight and not arriving at the hotel until 10pm I was unable to get anything to eat. I did not expect a restaurant meal but did expect room service nor did I want crisps or chocolate from a kiosk. However a receptionist very kindly remembered that a guest had only taken a sandwich from a picnic bag and had left the fruit, drink and biscuits. This she kindly gave me and deserves credit for her action."

"We stayed at the Apex Grassmarket for three nights and it was a great hotel! The location can't be beat, the grassmarket has lots of places to eat, drink, shop (you are right by victoria street!) so there is always something going on. There was even a little market when we were there, loved it. It can get loud, so if you are a light sleeper that might be something to consider. It didn't bother us (we actually liked it - we heard snow patrol playing at the castle one night!) but something to note! The room was large and comfortable, lots of tea/coffee and cookies over the stay as well. We would definitely stay again!"

"Loved this location. a 15 minute walk or so from the heart of Edinburgh. The rooms were well appointed. I travelled with my son and nephew, both over 20 and we needed somewhere to stay for two nights. This was one of the few locations which could accommodate us in one room. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Definelly would stay there again."
