Pocket Guide: Marriott Hotels & Resorts Hotels in Stuttgart

Visit Stuttgart with Marriott Hotels

Marriott International is an American chain which operates over 4,000 establishments worldwide. Visitors to a Marriott hotel can choose from a range of room options, including deluxe, executive and suites, with a choice of beds. Every room comes with a bathroom, large flatscreen TV, WiFi access and a desk with two phone lines for the business traveller.

Each Marriott offers a choice of meals, snacks and refreshments – choose an on-site restaurant for a variety of breakfasts, including buffet, continental, full American or Grab-n-Go, and stop into the bar any time of day for an internationally recognised wine or beer, or try something local to the region. For after a busy day exploring your destination or negotiating in the hotel’s business and conference facilities, head to the Marriott fitness centre for a sauna, spa, pool and whirlpool and a well-earned bit of me-time.

Things to Do in Stuttgart

If you need more down time, a trip west to Stuttgart’s Solitude Castle – Schloss Solitude – could be the very thing, or keep going further west and lose yourself in the fairy tale that is the Black Forest. Around Stuttgart, in the Swabian countryside, there are many by scenic walking routes and inviting vineyards to explore, too, before heading back to the techno-engineering hub that is Stuttgart itself. The regional capital may be best known for its automotive heritage, being the birthplace of the modern motor car, and today it is the home of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, with both brands having spectacular museums well worth a saunter around, even if you're not a petrol head.

Stuttgart city centre is no less relaxing than its surrounding countryside, with many parks and gardens, museums and galleries centred on the Schlossgarten, the castle gardens that date back to 1350. Schlossplatz is a magnificent space, bordered by handsome baroque architecture, a perfect place for a snack and to soak in some summer sun, while the Wilhelma Zoo and Botanical Gardens is one of the largest in Europe, its residents ready to put on a show for your arrival.
