"After a dreadful journey, the receptionist was very helpful & advised me that there was a wedding the following day & recommended to go down to breakfast the day after early. I was not disturbed by the wedding guests. The location was good & there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was good! The only slight inconvenience was that i was told that the bar shut at midnight on Saturday & when I got back at 11.45pm I was told this was not the case. "We had a family Sunday lunch here and then stayed overnight. The lunch was lovely, in a grand setting and with excellent service. We had a small room on the mezzanine floor, but it had a separate living room with a TV and was very pleasant. Our only criticism would be that the bath had only a hand shower and no curtain or screen, so if you just wanted a shower you couldn't avoid getting the floor wet. Put the heating on straight away and it took about 5 hours to warm up as many of the windows need replacing and two of them are so broken they won't shut.
