"Absolutely loved the County Hotel! Everything I needed and staff went out of their way to help. Beautiful room. Lift was really great because im disabled and find stairs difficult. "The staff - special mention for Sam - were helpful and there when needed. I forgot to pack our toothbrushes and we were supplied with them free of charge. The bedroom was small but it's an old coaching inn so many irregularities to be expected. The bathroom was big! Dinner and breakfast were very good and the location is good. Not far to the lake district or borders and very peaceful in a small village."

"We had to leave very early the next morning to take part in the Macmillan Mighty Hike and the staff accommodated us, giving us instructions on how we could check ourselves out, thank you! My only complaint would be the showerhead in our room was very grimy and should be replaced, otherwise the room was excellent!"
