"Our stay in the hotel was great. We had a very good night's sleep although we had to be up early to catch our flight. The location of the hotel was very good as we caught the airport shuttle bus right outside. The breakfast was great. We would stay here again if we were flying from Stansted."

"We found the staff to be pleasant, attentive and friendly. The hotel is well situated next to the Drake mall and under 10 minutes downhill to the Barbican (fun navigating through the 6 foot wide lanes!). Take the lift to - 1. Very good value for the facilities provided and surpasses rival budget chains on price and location. Although next to a busy dual carriageway, the double glazing and air-conditioning blot out most of the noise. Breakfast was fine and the Engligh is well cooked, albeit limited to 7 items. Pastries run out fast and bananas don't exist! Plymouth is a large University city and so if you prefer a more sedate visit then avoid term times - offering you 4 months in the year. Leonardo does well in this hotel. Enjoy your stay - we did! "

The location is great as you can easily walk to town for shopping & restaurants or go in the other direction to the sea. The breakfast was fab as you can order a hot breakfast or enjoy plenty of continental choices, which suited my son too. 10/10 - Deffo worth the stay! "

"This ia an amazing place. From the minute we wallked in to the minite we left the levels of service was impeccable. Lovely rooms, Top class Spa and pools. Delicious breakfat with a great variety and excellent, friendly and professional staff who look to cater for your every need. I will definitely be back later in the summer. "

"This is a wonderful, grand, historic building and retains the ambience of Victorian grandeur, even though there are a few scuffs and scrapes and rusted ironwork!. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and efficient and this was the case with all staff that we encountered including the breakfast staff. The room was beautifully decorated and fitted and was very comfortable with all amenities that you could want. Lots of sockets by the bed as well. Our room benefitted from a superb sea view. The breakfast was very good, though veggie/vegan sausages would have been a welcome addition. For the price we paid, this hotel was an absolute bargain and we would love to return here again. Perfect location for anyone visiting Plymouth."
