Very eady going and nothing was too much trouble. The room was modernly furnished with fixtures and fittings in both bedroom and bathroom clearly well looked after and recently replaced, but very sympathetic to the age of the property. Staff were busy and checkin was slow and not clear where to go. Rooms were clean and well presented. Bed was softer than I like but otherwise comfortable. The pub is up a hill with limited parking - make sure you log your registration number with the hotel! No one told me! The room was okay for pub accommodation, a small en suite shower room, and a small double bed. Otherwise quiet enough to get to sleep. The owner was friendly but the staff looked miserable and just did the job.
