The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks. Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order. They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok. Lovely breakfast and Landlady very welcoming and friendly. Room was quite small but not an issue as we only used the place as a base. If what you are looking for is a boring, soulless establishment where every room is the same, like you get in a Holiday Inn, Travelodge or Premier Inn then this is not for you. What you do get is a personal service from a friendly couple who know their stuff and make you very welcome. This is a 350 year old cottage where every room is different but nonetheless exceptionally clean and comfortable. Paula was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage was immaculate. The breakfast was wonderful and freshly cooked. It is an ideal location for sightseeing. it is well signposted from the main road, but less well signposted on the property itself. The signs are only really visible as you drive down to the main road. Vine cottage is the first property on the left as you pull off the A390\.
