"Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. "

"I have stayed here twice before. The welcome from Lyndon is great. The breakfast is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. However the wardrobe was in need of repair and the fridge had old food in it. The bedside cabinets had a layer of dust but I base my review on comfort and hospitality "

It is a little dated but perfectly kept and clean and absolutely everything you could need - even an iron. Slept really well which is what you need when travelling. "We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Old Post House. Exceptional accommodation, a beautiful large room with comfy beds, tea, coffee, biscuits and water provided. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and very friendly hosts. The property is in a lovely village spot on the outskirts of Cardiff and we would have liked to stay longer to explore more. "The apartment itself was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with little to no outside noise to disrupt sleep. Reception isn’t open on weekends but there was great communication from staff giving me information of how to access anything I needed.
