"Ideal location. Walking distance to main sights
Excellent four day trip.
Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Virtually every world famous sight is in walking distance ( wear comfortable shoes) with plenty of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants in between.
Be prepared to encounter street vendors selling flowers, selfie sticks and other gizmo's.
The four hour long happy hour also included a terrific choice of bar food ( gratis).
The front of the River Palace does not do this hotel justice. Step inside and it is superb.
Would recommend you don't overdo the big trips in one day. It will exhaust you.
Visit the Vatican and Colosseum on separate days.
Pantheon and Piazza Novona are 'must sees'.
Watch out for high service charges in some restaurants, especially those near main attractions.
I recently traveled to rome for the first time. I randomly picked the Valadier since it was decently rated. It far exceeded my expectations! The staff was so nice and helpful (all spoke English) The resturaunt on the rooftop was amazing. From the food to the staff. Which is also where you eat your complimentary breakfast. I am a 25 year old female and traveled alone. I felt safe and welcomed. Hotel and rooms are very nice and you are centrally located to everything. Can not rave about this hotel enough!
The hotel is located in a tiny lane. When the taxi stopped in front, I wasn't sure if we made the right decision to stay there since we are more used to staying at 4-5 star hotels. We stayed in a junior suite. It was large with a separate the bedroom separate from the living area. Very comfortable. The only problems we had were that the TV's didn't work well and the shower is a little difficult to figure out but the shower power is strong. The service is wonderful. The front desk will help you to make restaurant reservations or whatever else that you may need. About a 10-15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. Don't go to the rooftop Japanese Restaurant. It was fake Japanese Food. I will stay at this hotel again.
We had a wonderful time in our clean, modern room. Walk out the front door onto the cobbled streets of Rome, a block from Via Condotti, with its haute couture stores. In the midst of great restaurants, gelateria, and a block from the Spanish Steps and the Metro, for an 8-minute ride to the Colosseum. The expansive park of Villa Borghese overlooks this neighborhood. Bellissima!
We stayed in the newly renovated part of hotel. Beautiful. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food very good. Prime busy location but not at all noisy. We were 6th floor. Loved it and we will be back
Wonderful hotel. Most charming appearance, excellent helpful staff. Spacious room for Rome (we were a party of 3 w a child, so had a junior suite--by necessity per European rules. All hotels in Europe charge you for any teenagers with you, so not a surprise) Only downside is anemic air conditioning. Tolerable, but it was 102 in Rome (hottest it has been in 13 yrs)--I'm sure room temperature would have been fine in late spring, early fall. Other than that would recommend highly--perfect location!
A trip to Rome is incomplete without tossing a coin in the waters of the iconic Trevi
Fountain. Immortalised in classic movie ‘La Dolce Vita’, the fountain is one of the
Italian capital’s most famous landmarks.
Staying in the neighbourhood, there is an abundance of great hotels around the Trevi
Fountain area. Set in the historic centre of Rome, hotels here provide the perfect
base for exploring the city’s sights.
Rome’s hotels come in various shapes and sizes to suit an array of tastes and
budgets. You’ll find exquisite five star hotels offering a taste of the good life in
keeping with the area’s famed film. This charming area has some very good three and four star hotels housed in
stunning historical buildings offering all modern conveniences such as flat screen
televisions, Wi-Fi and iPod stations.
Embracing the past? You’ll find delightful historical hotels in the Trevi Fountain area
within walking distance of the fountain and the famous Forum. In the
neighbourhood’s quieter streets there are some lovely smaller hotels and B&Bs
offering friendly old-fashioned hospitality
