"Good location for the Pentland ferry from Gill’s Bay, about 20 mins. Lovely food, our room on the ground floor was great, small but adequate.Parking also adequate."

"The room was clean and comfortable. It needs to be made clearer in hotel advance information what the situation is. I was not aware until I arrived that the hotel I was staying in was in fact an annexe of the hotel nearby. That was a bit of a surprise. Being able to leave my luggage before and after check-in/check-out was appreciated when transport to and from the Ireland was early or overnight. Food and drink was of a high quality but rather expensive."

"Egypt was absolutely wonderful - a really lovely house, well equipped, with comfortable beds and spectacular views over the water. It isn't often that I sleep better on holiday than I do at home but the week we were at Egypt, the beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up. Lots to do in the area, a short walk down to the beach, convenience stores nearby in the village. Friendly, very helpful owners and a really nice welcome pack with local produce. We couldn't fault this holiday home and look forward to booking again."

"Our bedroom was modern and clean with blue tartan soft furnishings. We slept well, breakfast and the optional dinner was tasty and the portions good. At each stage we were served by Theresa, a very hard manager. In summary a great hotel at the very north of mainland Britain."
