"Where to start with this place... Honestly, such a hidden gem, set in a very tranquil countryside farm setting. What they've done with the hotel is amazing, a 400+ year old chapel (finca) which has been tastefully renovated and now serves as a beautiful hotel. The receptionist was amazing, welcomed us warmly it was like visiting a family member that you haven't seen for a long time. She shown us around upon check-in and gave us details of the property's history. Pool area was nice and relaxing,...

Top Son Negre Hotel Reviews

Grupotel Cala Marsal Natura Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Very nice hotel with clean rooms and great facilities. Buffet dinner snd breakfast were both of a good standard and the location right by a really nice beach was perfect too"

Zoëtry Mallorca Wellness & Spa - Hyatt Inclusive Collection

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful sanctuary close to Palma and the airport. Gorgeous resort with old style Mallorcan stone buildings, immaculately maintained. Basic but comfortable rooms - at the price I didn't expect more. The food in the restaurants is outstanding and so is the music entertainment, low key but sophisticated and a great standard. Service at the pool and at breakfast is very slow. It took 90 minutes one day for two club sandwiches to arrive at the pool. Please install padel courts in place of the tennis!"

Hotel THB Felip - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent

"The hotels is in a lovely position and is very nicely kept. I would like to congratulate the manager for all his staff who were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay , from the waiters and bar staff to the chefs and receptionists and also the cleaners and even the handyman , they were always happy to see us and were so polite and friendly and always said good morning and hello with a smile. So thank to you all for making our stay so lovely."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Son Negre?

The best time to go to Son Negre is during the shoulder seasons, specifically May, early June, September, and early October.

These months offer pleasant weather with warm temperatures and less intense heat than the peak summer months of July and August. You'll find fewer crowds, which means a more relaxed experience at popular attractions, restaurants, and beaches. The sea is also warm enough for swimming during these periods. For those who appreciate outdoor activities like hiking or cycling, the cooler temperatures make exploring the island's natural beauty much more enjoyable.

Families travelling with younger children might find late May or early June particularly appealing. The weather is consistently sunny and warm, superb for beach days, and many family-friendly attractions are fully open but not yet at their busiest. This allows for a more comfortable and less rushed holiday experience.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate September and early October. The island retains its warmth, but the atmosphere becomes more tranquil. Enjoy leisurely meals on terraces, stroll along quieter beaches, and experience the local culture without the summer rush.
