"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Welsh Marches. The property was very clean and modern with great facilities. The view from our cottage was beautiful and such a lovely view to wake up to. Our 2 year old German Shepherd had plenty of room and was extremely comfortable the whole stay which was a worry of mine! My only criticism is the WiFi was quite slow but it wasn’t too much of a problem. The surrounding areas were beautiful and there were so many walks to go on which was so enjoyable....

"Just back from a wonderful weekend at Forest Cottage. Lovely quaint cottage in a secluded spot. We stay all over UK in these type of properties and this one is far superior, in our opinion, than many others we have stayed. "The listing was for a ‘gorgeous 2 bed cottage’ and it was certainly that! Such lovely original features but decorated so cleanly and modern. Lovely touches such as milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes left out for us! All the amenities we needed for a short weekend away to visit Zipworld. The original stone flooring did make the downstairs feel chilly for our January trip but the heating was more than sufficient to counteract this and a simple increase on the thermostat quickly made it more...

"The property was tired & grubby & not beautiful as described. There were 2 very full large builders skips right in front of the property making sitting out in the tiny courtyard quite an unpleasant experience. In the morning there was no hot water to the property. No tea towels for drying crockery."

"A lovely little cottage that had everything you need. We stayed with our two young children. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it, but we have two areas that weren't perfect. Getting the boiler just right took a while. There wasnt enough hot water on our first night, so the kids ended up with a tepid bath and theln in trying to sort that out we set the boiler to come on early in the morning so we could have hot showers - the boiler is noisy and so woke us up very early. "Very nice. Poor directions best and simple access is from Monmouth. Not Ragland, some of the country roads from other access points are single track roads. get to Monmouth and then load satnav with NP25 5NL Water very hot in taps could do with warning sticker. Wet room very good, however no seat. Gravel drive is not wheelchair friendly and would benefit from concrete slabs from disabled parking area to Cider house cottage. Owner very pleasant and friendly. We had a lovely week."

"Looks small from the front but is actually very spacious, plenty of room for us family of 4, and can accommodate more. Located in a lovely picturesque village with a stream at the rear of the house. Well equipped with everything you could need, our 5 year old loved having all the toys and bunk bed. Stopped for a few nights for a nearby wedding, was ideal for us. Nice couple of treats left from the owners too."
