"Beautiful building.. lovely room.. fantastic four poster bed and fabulous staff..great food and drink at Cromwells and fairly priced.. Cant fault our stay at all ..highly recommended for a trip away if you want a relaxed stay.. beautiful historic town on your doorstep staying in 400 year old building couldn’t ask for more.. will definitely be back 5 stars all round.. so happy I chose this place.. (and dog friendly) 😊😊"

"Extremely friendly staff very helpful especially with parking which is away from hotel although very near. Some narrow streets to negotiate but one its done easy to find Room very clean and bed comfortable Breakfast was good especially the full English hotel central and Shrewsbury is an excellent walking city"

"Lovely room with ensuite shower. As soon as you walked in you could smell cleaning products. We stayed in the Alice room which had great themed items which the wife loved. If I were to mark this property down at all it would be for the on-site parking as it's a first come basis but I'm not reviewing the parking so I won't. There is a carpark across the road which I had no issues with my car the next day. It is in a neighbourhood watch area."

"Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was tasty and well presented. Breakfast was self serve and plenty of it. For the future to consider in the bedroom i noticed that the electric socket is a round 3 pin by the bed. It would be better for a update socket to be put in so it allows power leads for charging the ipads/computers/ telephone while in bed. Just a suggestion."
