As others mentioned, the stairs are a bit steep and there's a wonky step to get from the master bedroom to the bathroom - but that's just part of being in an old home. "

"The owner was extremely helpful and responsive and the location was perfect. The walled garden was perfect for family to gather on warm days. However, although it’s advertised as sleeping 16, it doesn’t have the living space for 16, either to eat or gather. Other staff at the property were very accommodating and we loved the sustainable aspect of everything in the house. "

The property was perfect - the location was near the train station, and within a moderate walk from most everything we wanted to do in York.
