"The hotel was clean and tidy, the beds were particularly comfortable as well. We paid for breakfast both days we were there, while it wasn't amazing it still filled a hole to keep us going. Parking was the biggest issue really, £12 for overnight each day was expensive, Overall great for the price we paid and the staff were all friendly, helpful and polite"

"Stayed here for a long weekend so we could visit some of the great towns in the Peak District. This was a fantastic find. The hotel is very clean and presentable and all the staff were very polite and professional. Nice touch with the extra treats in the corridors and fridges/coffee machines in the rooms. The only slight thing to mention was the small choice items for a continental breakfast, however this was amply made up with the cooked breakfast options which was very tasty indeed. I will not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Well done to all the staff who help make this a true gem."

"Nice stay,staff all great especially at breakfast time. Breakfast was good. Not sure why you have to pay for car park-just add it to cost of stay. Negative is the hotel is old and doesn’t appear to have double or triple glazing so you can hear road noise."
