This stay was not a routine reservation; it was carefully planned to celebrate my husband’s birthday, for which he had travelled from London. Being informed of the cancellation less than one hour before our arrival is completely unacceptable and has caused significant disruption. The manner in which this situation has been handled strikes me as highly unprofessional. A cancellation at such short notice, despite prior confirmation and completed check-in, suggests a serious failure in your booking management. It is difficult not to conclude that the hotel may have overbooked and attempted to justify this with an inadequate explanation."

Not even snacks or sandwiches or hot drinks other than those in the room. They could have provided a temporary provision. Instead told get a takeaway delivered and even delivery drivers took a long time given location. This hotel should not be trading as a 3 star hotel without any catering or any food. Room was cold also as heating on a timer so had to get hotel to provide a fan heater. Only one pillow on beds too low. All together a poor stay, shame as hotel so. Much potential and character. "
