This family vacation will be a core memory. I love finding a place that has everything one may need. Fun for the kids and the adults. neeanything when booking
We spent a weekend family getaway here. It was lovely. The house had a lot of fun things to do and we had a relaxing time hanging out.
The only slight issue we had was that one of the bedrooms is open to the living area at the ceiling and the late night people (the teens) were a bit noisy for the early risers.
The seclusion of the cabin allowed us to relax and enjoy the noises of nature and the waters of the Guadalupe River. On the other hand its relative closeness to interesting and vibrant cities such as San Antonio and Austin made it a great home base for our stay in Southern Texas. The house was well kept and very comfortable. We hope we can return in the future!
The log house is exactly like the pictures. We loved all the games and accommodations that the house provided. The river was low, due to the lack of rain, so the water spot could have been better; but that is at no fault to the property or managers. We were able to sit in the river with the provided beach chairs, and the seclusion of the place was exactly what we needed.
This was our second stay here, and it was just as good, if not better, than the first! We had a special request at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us without any issues. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful property right on an amazing, peaceful part of the Guadalupe.
The cabin wasn’t actually a good match for me & my husband but Sarah (with the management company) went above and beyond to get us into another place that’s a perfect fit for us.
The location was nice and relaxing. We had fun playing ping pong and the other available games when we weren’t in the river. Everything was as pictured, and we will definitely consider staying again in the future.
Peaceful area, river views! Well thought out needs for guests. We wouldn’t have needed to pack so much (life jackets, puzzles, cleaning supplies) had we known how thought out it was! Several rooms well cleaned. Steep stairs to river, bring a rake to clean a touch and it’s ready to play! Thanks Sarah, this was a lovely trip. She even helped with a timing arrangement for us.
The log cabin was a perfect little getaway spot for us to be at. We were able to relax, bbq, and enjoy sitting near the Guadalupe River. All the amenities that were listed were there. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again if given the opportunity!
Place was perfect! Clean and everything you could need provided. Enjoyed the screened in porch. Our 88yr old grandfather uses a walker and everything was super easy for him to get around to in the house.
The place was very nice & peaceful and quiet but make sure to be up by 5am because the rooster said so lol, the River could use a lots of cleaning, so we had to do that enable to get in, I am sure that the next renters will be happy for that. Over all we were happy.
Beautiful property with amazing views and amenities!
This place is beautiful. It is set in the country so you don't have to worry about high traffic. The location makes it easy to travel to any of the bigger nearby citys. We sat on the screened in porch every morning to drink coffee and watch the deer play in river. The river was low due to the lack of rain and extreme heat so we didn't play in it much but the cabin was stocked with all kinds of river equipment had it been up. I have 3 kids ranging from 8-13 and they LOVED the giant connect 4, ping pong, and other outdoor activities provided. The house was very clean and well stocked inside with any type of dish for cooking and baking. The host had the house sprayed for bugs inside before we got there and outside while we were there so any unwanted creepy crawlies were dead or dying. Even the exterminator was extremely friendly! Would rent this property again and highly recommend!!!

This is no reflection of the rental company, but this place should not be rented given issues with the neighbor on the left. Clean and nice enough inside and on the porch, but trashy in some areas outside. Not a particularly nice area. We almost did not even check in. Ominous signs about not trespassing onto property all over the area. Quiet time from 10pm but neighbors two doors down were having miked-up outdoor karaoke until at least 12:30 a.m. on our first night. A junkyard neighbor on the left with relentlessly loud, persistent roosters right outside your window will start crowing in the middle of the night around 2-3 a.m. and not stop until full day break. The same neighbor shot his extremely loud gun or equivalent device twice on two separate occasions on the same day when my family was in the river, shaking and frightening them. The sheriff’s office was contacted. The experience of this place would’ve been a lot nicer had it been more secluded and not in the middle of this unsettling neighborhood. Regardless of the neighborly intimidation, our kids liked the games, tv, beds, hammock, river, and having the kayak (although you have to carry it pretty far downhill and back uphill). Nowhere close to being worth the 751 we paid for two nights.
So there aren’t reviews when we booked. And really we are a family that cares more about what’s surrounding the property then what’s inside.
The inside was perfect. Cute. Quaint. Plenty of room. We had 5-3 teen girls.
First day was warm enough to get into the river. There are cute chairs to use and sit. Bring water shoes. Fun swings and porch to chill
We wanted to float kayaks and the drop from the property to the river was pretty intense. And it got cold the second day so we didn’t even try. It looked daunting. And that’s why we were there, for kayaking.
We drove to seguin. Lots of options for food and groceries. Plenty of parks.
We didn’t really fish either bc the river was low by us. We tried at the parks.
And there was a rooster greeting us all morning and day. So bring a noise maker so you can sleep in a little
But the owner/management was nice and worked hard to make it a great stay!
