New Braunfels

Whether you're in New Braunfels for a few days or a longer stay, you'll find more than enough tourist attractions to keep you and your loved ones happy.

The population of this area of Hill Country is around 58,000.

Visitors will find this destination 45 miles from Austin, the state capital of Texas. It's also about 12 miles from Cibolo.

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark and Resort and ZDT's Amusement Park are great places to spend some time with the kids. The Corral Theatre and the Texas Theatre are also worth visiting if the little ones still have energy to burn.

The Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo is a terrific place to take your group for an exciting morning among local and exotic animals. Be sure to ask at the entrance about hands-on activities and where to find the zoo's more unusual specimens.

Chances are you've spent a while sampling the local beer here, so why not head to the Spoetzl Brewery and find out how it's made? If you're lucky, there'll be a few drinks around the place as well!

This region's wine yards sure know how to impress the senses. Meet the cellar masters, sample the latest vintage and relax into a great day out at the Three Dudes Winery or the Guadalupe Valley Winery. Ready for one or two more? The Driftwood Estate Winery and the Wimberley Valley Winery are favorites around here.

Enjoy a gorgeous range of plants and flowers as you wander about the sprawling greenery of Central Texas Bonsai Exhibit at Jade Gardens.

Pack a few snacks and take some time out in the tranquil, green surroundings of Landa Park and Guadalupe River State Park. Prince Solms Park and North Park are two more nice places to while away the day with a good book.

Whether you're after a certain map or just a few tips, the staff at Texas Agriculture Education and Heritage Center can help you out.

Go for a hike and enjoy the calm water at Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake. If the weather is right, you might even like to lose your shoes and dip your feet in the shallows.

Switch off your phone and give yourself a break from the modern world at Crane's Mill Park and Blue Hole Regional Park. Overlook Park and Jacob's Well Natural Area are also popular with nature enthusiasts.

See the world in a different light with a trip to one of the area's well-curated cultural spaces. The Museum Of Texas Handmade Furniture and the Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country offer a range of collections that are bound to keep you captivated. Sebastopol House and Los Nogales Museum are also well worth a visit.

The striking artworks at the Seguin Oakwood Art League and the Witliff Collections are quite impressive. Don't forget to ask for some more information about each artist if you're taken by what you see.

By illuminating history, the Jack Glover's Cowboy Museum and the Fiedler Museum help us prepare for our future.

Local historic attractions like the Gruene Hall, the Brauntex Theatre and the New Braunfels Conservation Society are good places to spend an afternoon at if you take an interest in the events and places of times gone by.

Faust Street Bridge is an impressive structure that has provided a vital crossing for local residents over the years.

Take the time to check out the World's Oldest Largest Pecan and ponder this area's place in the history.

Enjoy a spot of window shopping and buy a few gifts at some of the area's shopping zones, such as New Braunfels MarketPlace and Wimberley Lions Market Days.

The Palace Theater and the Texas Music Theater regularly attract guests that have an appreciation for quality entertainment. Whitewater Amphitheatre and the EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens are two other popular facilities that are sure to delight.

Before you pack your bags and head back home, be sure to see some of New Braunfels' lesser-known attractions. Cranes Mill Marina and Canyon Lake Marina are some possible options. If you have more time to spare, also check out the Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force or Texas Tubes.
