"A real Highland surprise"
Although some miles from major centres, the Holly Tree makes up for this by having an excellent restaurant - Seafood mainly but enough choice to suit others - and caring, friendly, staff. Our stay at the Holly Tree has been the highlight of our holiday and we (reluctantly) recommend it to anyone travelling in the Oban/Glencoe/Fort William area. (We're only reluctant because it was hard enough to get in there and we've probably made it even harder to get a room now by recommending it!). The rooms, restaurant and bar all face out over Loch Linnhe and present beautiful and ever-changing views as the light moves through the day and evening.

"Provided all my needs"
Good location close to town and facilities, easy to find with good parking. Traditional relaxing décor throughout the hotel Room was decent size, clean and comfortable with all required facilities. Didn't use bar or restaurant due to my work, but food smelled very enticing. Fitness room provided enough options to avoid queues and pool looked inviting. Told there are additional options, such as Spinning Class, but can't confirm. Plan to return when next working in the area. Considered room cost to be fair.

"Excellent hotel , close to all amenities"
Actually booked the Morlich hotel but when we arrived we found we were upgraded to an executive room in the Highland hotel . Room was very comfortable and really quiet at night time . Breakfast was excellent , with plenty of choice. We'll certainly return sooner rather than later

"Nice hotel if you can find it........"
Got a good deal at the last minute for an overnight stay in Aviemore. First issue I had was that I would be arriving after dark and I had never been to the hotel or resort before. Why is this a problem? Well, upon driving into the resort I noticed that the road signs were unlit so I couldn't see directions to the hotel. Also when I stopped to see the signs that were there it still wasn't obvious where my hotel was! Eventually found it only to discover it closed! Tried phoning the contact number from Expedia which didn't work. Found the resort number on line and was told I was booked into a different hotel in the resort (which was also difficult to find due to lighting/signage/one way system issues). Hotel check in was fine and room itself was very nice. Down to on-site restaurant for an evening meal which was nice but expensive. Service was slow so be prepared to wait a while. As a price reference a bottle of Bulmer cider was £5.00. Next morning had a good breakfast from a substantial hot and cold buffet service. Even got gluten free toast! Check out was quick due to having no additional costs although the receipt I got indicated a total cost £20.00 less than the Expedia charge. Queried this to be told by the receptionist that the £20.00 must be the Expedia fee. Unsure if this is true but don't remember having this issue before. Overall a nice hotel but difficult to navigate resort and restaurant is expensive.

"Great view and location "
We had a beautiful view of the river from our room. Building is beautiful. Rooms were just a little tired but clean. Lots of nice sitting areas on the main floor. Super handy to the rail system and downtown area. Cannot get wifi in the rooms without paying was the downside, but was free in the common areas.

"Lovely, quirky lodge."
Hotel was utterly charming. Food was FABULOUS! The facilities were a bit worn but with character and charm. It is like your favorite quirky aunt. The staff was welcoming and couldn't have done better. This was actually the standout accommodation of our trip.

One of the nicest B & Bs we have ever stayed in. I was offered a glass of a very nice malt whiskey on arrival and the breakfast was exceptional. The owners were delightful. couldn't have been more helpful.
