Pocket Guide: Mexico City Santa Fe Hotels

Find Hotels in Santa Fe

Built to the west of the historic centre of Mexico City, Santa Fe is one of the newest neighbourhoods in the city with most of it built in the past twenty years. With seemingly countless skyscrapers, four universities and fancy new shopping malls, Santa Fe also has a good range of hotels to choose from.

Make your choice from three- and four-star international brands, luxury hotels and suites or independent boutique hotels, all of which can be found in Santa Fe.

Explore Santa Fe

The boom of Santa Fe began in the 1980s and 1990s when a former industrial zone was transformed into Mexico City’s most modern neighbourhood. The developments have continued to the present day, and to walk the streets of Santa Fe is to experience striking modern architecture, such as the Calakmul building that is known locally as La Lavadora – the washing machine.

Visit Santa Fe’s new shopping malls for the neighbourhood’s main entertainment, including restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.

Although Santa Fe is very much an urban development, don’t miss the chance to take a stroll in the Alameda, the neighbourhood park, popular with office-workers on their lunch break and students from the nearby campuses.

From Santa Fe to the Historic Centre

Santa Fe is linked to the historic downtown of Mexico City via the Passeo de la Reforma, the city’s most important thoroughfare. Along the Passeo de la Reforma, you will find many of Mexico City’s most famous monuments, as well as museums such as the National Museum of Anthropology, the Museum of Modern Art and the Castillo de Chapultepec, the National History Musuem.

If all the concrete, steel and glass of the modern city is getting too much for you, head to the green open spaces of Chapultepec Park, known as the green lungs of Mexico City and one of the largest urban parks in the world.

To experience modern Mexico City at its most impressive, select from the choice of hotels in Santa Fe.
