Good location, value decent.
This did not seem like a four star hotel, three would be a stretch. Rooms under the roof have limited space to stand up straight. The room cleaning crew knocked on our door at six p.m. to enter. Front desk staff were helpful and nice. Room was cozy but a little frayed around the edges and a little dark.

Innocents Abroad Journey through Escorial.
The hotel itself was okay but for a foreigner who's GPS system could not find it, the search was truly exasperating. There is only one lighted sign on the building that faces an obscure Park with no major roads going by. Obviously their clientele are all locals or at least Spaniards who speak the language. I would never recommend tourists from the US attempting to find this place if they do not speak Spanish. I speak Portuguese, French and English and we literally spent hours trying to find that hidden hotel after arriving in the city. And having been there once I would never try to find it again, especially after dark. On this trip we drove 3500 kms through France, Andorra, Spain and Portugal and driving conditions in Spanish urban traffic are the worst in Europe. The only reason we would ever return to Spain is the central location of the Madrid International Airport. Our goal would be to get out of Spain as soon as possible.

El Escorial encounter
The facilities here were fine, if a little jaded. The room was perfectly clean & tidy with excellent aircon. What this property lacks is friendly customer service both at reception and in the adjoining restaurant. Whilst it was certainly value fir money, I would look to choose another hotel should I ever return

Everything was very very good, except perhaps for the fact that we got two single beds pushed together instead of one double bed. This may have been due to the fact that we got a special deal on hotels.com though. Wifi worked very well, I was able to watch an nba game at 375 kbytes per second.

Bajé a desayunar ( el desayuno buffet) aunque no lo tenía incluido; pero ohhh sorpresa cuando hay poca gente en el hotel se me dijo " es política del hotel" no montar el buffet. Está allí pero tienes que ir pidiéndolo. Un buffet sin buffet, un sinsentido. Decidí desayunar fuera.

Estimado Arturo:Efectivamente no se monta un buffet si no hay ningún desayuno contratado como ha sido el caso, por ese motivo recomendamos la contratación con antelación y no en el momento del servicio. No obstante siempre se ofrece la opción de desayunar con las distintas opciones de desayuno a la carta en el mismo hotel.

Nada especial que me diga que se trata de un hotel 4*. Todo un poco abandonado, y unas fundas de colchón de plástico que suenan, crujen y hacen arrugas.

Positivo: Alojamiento bastante céntrico, muy cerca del Monasterio y los Jardines. La cama es bastante cómoda y grande, y la bañera tenía hidromasaje, bastante bien. Negativo: Habitación antigua, el jabón sin rellenar y nos encontramos la papelera con yogures.

El hotel esta situado en un sitio bastante bien , cerca de del palacio , centro de San Lorenzo. La limpieza de habitación bien pero las sillas del comedor con muchas manchas, el desayuno básico. Hemos llegado 10 min antes de la hora que nos han dicho pero la bandeja del huevo revuelto ya estaba vacía y tenia que decir yo a los camareros rellenar la jarra de zumo, la bandeja de Huevo. la vista muy bonita pero desde arriba se veía perfectamente los toldos rotos del comedor.de 1 a 10 que nota daría yo, pues un 7. También tengo que añadir el trato del personal GENIAL.
