I like the staff and the property. Lots of trees. We had a filtered water dispenser in the room. WiFi is good. Hot water shower is not consistent. Wish there bed has a mattress cover.

This resort is absolutely stunning. The grounds are clean and very well kept. The beach is beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Rooms are large with everything you need for a night or two. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 6 days. Its right on the beach. The staff is welcoming and attentive. They were quick to make accommodations and answered all my questions. The restaurant inside made great food but outside the resort there are plenty of options within walking distance. I recommend this place to my family and they booked rooms. When we return this is where I will be booking again.

We had a great stay at The Bruce, lovely beach, nice big room and friendly, helpful staff. Only downside was that our room (but not all/others) had a few powercuts and lost water once or twice. Room very clean on arrival, however was not made up again despite a four night stay.

No WiFi, asked for it to be fixed but they didn’t. In ores to use your phone you must be in the lobby area outside. Nightclub next door blasted music until 2am. At 3am a pack of 8 wild dogs on the property barked until the rooster crowed. If you don’t like sleeping or using your cell phone or internet then you might want to stay there.

Fabulous location being situated directly on the beach and the staff are very helpful; however, there is room for improvement. We were fortunate to be able to check in early, but bath towels were not provided in our room and we had to request them at reception, we had no running water in the shower during our 2 night stay meaning we had to rinse in the sink, and the room only gets cleaned every second day so we had to ask for more toilet paper to be provided - simple things are overlooked. In addition to that, the neighbours dog was an absolute nuisance on our first nights stay, barking at all hours of the night for an extended period of time. We did mention this at reception the following morning and they kindly offered to speak to the neighbour. Fortunately, the dog didn't keep us up the following night. The property has potential, but for now, I would say it is overpriced for the service that is being provided.

Nice location, but filthy room
Good service and helpful staff. And nice location by the beach. But our room was not cleaned upon arrival, the bathroom had a bad smell and was dirty. And we lacked towels, soap and toilet paper when we checked in. Also, the pool was not clean and could not be used (closed at the time we were there). Overall, the hotel could really use an upgrade.

The hotel is very beautiful. The landscaping is impeccable and it makes you truly feel like you’re in a little tropical oasis. The pool was cool and refreshing, there’s a beautiful courtyard area underneath the shade of the trees where you can eat on the picnic tables, the beach is beautiful with hammocks and lawn chairs.

Property has potential but AC wasn't working property (filters were clogged, after talking to front desk, I was told it was going to be checked, but no one showed up, I removed filters and worked much better, wifi was intermittent and poor. Not enough towels or pillows. Lots of construction going on and workers going around but no one checks on you, your room etc.

Hello Sir Frank. Greetings! We are deeply sorry and saddened to note your uncomfortable stay here at the resort. We are very sorry for not informing in advance the on-going construction in the resort. As for the aircon maintenance, we admit it is our fault this time for not checking the aircon since the buidling is new, we thought the aircon still functions well. With your help, everyone under the housekeeping department has instructed already to do weekly cleaning of the aircon filters to avoid inconvenience again for guests. We are thankful so much to awaken our senses and to upgrade our system of operation here. As for the pillow and towels, it is per resort policy to only provide two towels, and two pillows for a double room (good for 2 pax). However, if the guest or guests will request an extras, we provide them with no extra charge --- that is if the guests will require more. But if not, what is provided in the room will be only 2 pillows, and 2 towels for the 2 occupants. As far as the cleaning is concern, we clean the room every two days after unless the guests will request a clean up the next day. But again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced here. We promised to improve our system to leave a great remarks on our future guests. Have a wonderful day. Relaxing stay on Siquijor island
We had a very comfortable stay, the air con was so good after a day exploring the island. The hotel is right on the beach with some swings over the sea. There are plenty of seats to relax and the room had a lovely balcony. They offer rental bikes which we used and our bike was in excellent condition. We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that the shower was very slow to drain.

Strongly recommend
Great place-minor hiccup at checking-owner lady resolved it in an instant to my are her satisfaction. This is a very rare think in the Philippines where you usually get bent over at every opportunity. I thanked her the place is great strongly reccommend the family fan room. Front and center to the beach

Gorgeous spot right on the beach and near all the fun stuff in San Juan. Room was clean and had good A/C with a really nice beach front. Dagsa restaurant is right across the street and has some of the best food in the Philippines! Sylvias has live music on Saturdays and is a great place to go out dancing. Only bad thing is that the wifi was pretty bad in the rooms.

We loved our stay at The Bruce. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. The room was simple but had everything you would need. Ours had air conditioning which was delightful after a day in the sun. They offer laundry service, massages, motorbike hires... there is a pool and a lovely grounds with lounge chairs and hammocks. The location is great. Close to lots of good restaurants including Monkey Business and Dagsa. We would recommend this place to friends and would definitely stay there again.

Très agréable hôtel/lodge, accès direct à la plage Après c est loin d être luxueux comme il l Affiche… les chambre spacieuses, mais mériterai d’ être repeinte, aussi la salle de bain. La literie très moyenne, le matelas sans aucune alèse ou protection, juste un draps qui le recouvre… Après grosse déception pour la piscine, l eau était si trouble qu on ne voyait même pas le fond et donc ne m’y suis même pas baigner. Le resort est vraiment agréable sinon, mais il faudrait vraiment que le Propriétaire investisse un peu et se mette à la place des clients. Par contre le restaurant en bord de mer est très bien, la cuisine excellente, et le chicken mango curry est délicieux ! Bravo au chef Idem petit déjeuner les pancake sont énorme et fait minutes ! Délicieux

Zeer ruime kamer, met keuken en een groot balkon waar je heerlijk kon zitten. Dicht bij het strand. Helaas kon je de zee niet in i.v.m de modder. Je werd weggezogen in de modder. Voor de zee moest je met vervoer naar een ander strand.

Generelt et fint sted. Der er del hunde og katte, som larmer om natten. Stranden er ikke specielt god. Den er lavvandet og svampet. Stemningen på øen er dejlig behagelig og folket meget hjælpsomme og imødekommende.

Great locationa and excellent place overall
Stayed few nights at Bruce and loved it! Really clean, spacious rooms, calm place and everything you need nearby. In top of that it is located next to the ocean where you can relax and read a book :) Really helpful and professional staff all over the resort which I liked as well as swimming pool if you want to take a dip on it. Roughly 15 min drive from the Siquijor port with tricycle (max. 150 pesos) so pretty convenient location also from that point of view.
