Room was clean and staff was friendly. Hotel may need minor upgrades, but it’s still a great hotel. I do wish there was a ramp at the entrance(if there was a ramp, I didn’t see it) lifting suitcases up the entrance stairs was a little inconvenient.
I honestly think this is the best London Hotel ive stayed in. Lovely room and bathroom with a fantastic shower. Good blinds and blackout curtains made the room perfect for sleep..And it was so quiet! The terrace/garden was perfect for drinks and food.Walking distance from victoria bus and train station.
I was very pleased with the hotel which was very conveniently located near Victoria Station in a quiet part of London.
Staff was quick to change my room to a more accessible one when they saw I was temporarily disabled and needing to use a crutch.
Breakfast was also very good. I will stay there again when next in London.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! They helped us find great restaurants nearby and greeted us each day with friendly smiles! The desk also booked a taxi for us at 4:15 am to Heathrow airport! We really appreciated it!
Thank you!
Amazing staff!!! Everybody was super friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend this hotel. And location is also perfect! Short walk to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben and underground stations.
It is a wonderfully quiet neighborhood. Nice outdoor seating. Close to transit and shops.
Very comfortable twin room with a nice view.
We had dinner one night there. Club sandwich was huge. Breakfast was too pricey for our appetite. Staff were gracious and helpful.
Nice location. Walking distance to most tourist attractions but also on a quiet street so quiet at night. AC worked well during the worst heat wave London has ever seen.
Everything in the hotel was good. However, if your are unable to climb stairs with your suitcase, don't go. I meant there is assistance. Overall stay was good. ideal Location to London Eye, Big Ben etc and most important, transport
Really good property in a really good location.
I didn’t eat or drink here but the facilities looked great.
My only complaint is a common one which is when checking in you need to provide ALL your details again on an iPad. It’s always a bit frustrating when there’s someone behind you and you’ve already provided them all on Expedia. I assume they don’t share this with the hotel.
This review is particular to The Wellington’s apartment accommodation. The 3 apartments are located in the basement. This review is for A2. Although kept very tidy, the carpet is stained and the furniture is not up-to-date. The mattress was comfortable. The bathroom products are nice and the shower has good water pressure. Because the condition of the apartment is what is best termed “tired,” it did not inspire confidence. However, our 5-night stay went without issue. The hotel location, being a walkable distance to/from Victoria Station, makes for exploring London convenient.
A very well kept and presented hotel in a wonderfully leafy and quiet part of Westminster. Our Deluxe King Room was of a good size that had room for two large suitcases.
Air conditioning worked very well during the high summer temperatures and the outside courtyard was a great place to relax after a long day.
The hotel staff was courteous and polite despite many not having English as their first language and at times looking like they were perhaps under staffed for the amount of guests on hand at times. Would like to see room cleaning to take place before 3pm for all rooms as not everyone stays out to the evenings.
Unlike the big chain, more modern hotels, The Wellington hotel had old London charm in a safe, quiet, walkable neighborhood. Easy 5-7 min walk to train station. Easy enough with luggage. The rooms were spacious and clean. Each room seemed to be designed a bit differently, so do not expect all rooms to look cookie-cutter or exactly as the website pics. This adds charm. Courtyard was quaint with tables and trees, foosball and ping pong. Evenings were sometimes quiet and sometimes lively. Great experience and we would stay again.
