"The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. There is a nice walk along the promenade to Santa Maria which takes about 10-15 minutes. The staff are very friendly and work tirelessly entertaining the guests. The food is tasty and presented nicely. I'd definitely recommend the cocktails"

"Should not be 5 star. The food was fine, pretty much same standard AI as you normally get. The pool is huge and very lovely if you are quick enough in the morning to get a sunbed. The rooms need updating, comfy bed but old, cheap furniture not 5 star quality. We went into town 5 nights out of our 7, it takes about 15 mins to walk and we did it during the day and after dark no problem at all. Taxi option is also very easy. So much better than staying in the hotel, I wish I had gone B&B. The beach is much better near town as well as the waves are crazy near the hotel. If I went back I would not return here. "
