Hotel was amazing... only problem was, in the evening around the bar area i was told i could not wear shorts, even though it was so hot in hamburg during our stay and i was a guest staying at the hotel. I was made to go and change attire or i could not be around the bar. I have never experienced this before.

I chose this hotel because it is two minutes walk from Grosse Freiheit 36, a music venue. It's in the centre of the red light district, so expect - if you're a single man - to be repeatedly approached and grabbed for "business". It didn't bother me, but it might bother some, hence why I mention it.
The hotel itself is excellent. Comfortable rooms and excellent staff - no complaints there whatsoever.

Great location two streets back from the Reeperbhan surprisingly quiet. Comfortable rooms and close to transport links to all destinations across Hamburg.

Really enjoyed our stay. As long as you know you are right on the Reeperbhan then all good, you know what to expect. Even then keep the window closed and it's fine. The room was on the top floor so was good for having a right good nosey outside. Room was clean, very spacious and I would go back.

Saint Pauli is a walkable neighborhood that's popular for its restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Take in the natural beauty of the riverfront and parks—or broaden your horizons with some local theater. A stay at one of Saint Pauli's hotels makes it easy to venture out into the greater Hamburg area.
Sightseeing around Saint Pauli
The museums and theaters provide some cultural flavor, while the monuments and historic sites offer insight into local lore. Stroll the halls at Panopikum, Hamburg Museum, or U-Boat U-434 Museum. You can check out the local talent at St. Pauli Theater, Schmidt Theater, and Quatsch Comedy Club. Monuments like Bismarck Monument, Fish Market, and St. Michaelis Church honor the area. Hans-Albers-Platz, Beatles Platz, and Peterstrasse are some local landmarks. Bring the family to Hamburger Dom, Hamburg Dungeon, and Miniatur Wunderland.
You can get some shopping done while you're here, or take part in any number of other activities. Heiligengeistfeld, Schanzenpark, or Botanical Gardens are ideal spots to enjoy the outdoors. Surround yourself with nature at Donners Park. With a shopping trip to Grosse Freiheit, Rindermarkthalle, or Bleichenhof-Passage Hamburg, you might find that perfect souvenir. Millerntor Stadium, St. Pauli Piers, and Holsten Brewery are other spots for some local fun.
A few of the most popular sights in the area include Moenckebergstrasse, Hamburger Kunsthalle, and Hagenbeck Zoo. Casino Reeperbahn, Operettenhaus, and Imperial Theater will also leave an impression.
