"The Dorset was ideal for my stay. Comfortable bed and room, good breakfast options and quality, lounge area with tv and bar. Parking at the hotel an added bonus. Have stayed here before."
"The accommodation was very basic with the toilet down the corridor and no food available.I would normally pay more for overnight accommodation so it seems I made the wrong chiice"
"very convenient to whitelink ferry and as a base to visit attractions, room had own reserved parking space, great location , good food and very friendly staff"
"the hotel was deserted, no staff, the bar was shut, no entertainment, no breakfast,no evening meal if I wanted to book one,so all in all new year ruined. the phoned me and said the wanted to check my bank details because they were giving me a small refund but then took the full amount and no refund. if this is how they run an hotel and treat there guests then beware and avoid "
"property just down rd from the hard. Hard to find without prior knowledge. Entry was difficult becuase the entry system at first took a lot of doing. It is on a safe system that needs imput from the owners and a no to get the small safe to drop and reveal the key to apt. Not able to get TV or internet until landlady came on sun morning. Phone conversation was not good at all. Frequently breaking down when asking questions. No instructions at all in apt to get started. No hot water...
"Disgraceful ,they knew they had multiple guests stranded with nowhere to sleep and didnt care .The property was cluttered ,we had to push a mattress out the way to use the toilet(no hand-wash)aka cupboard. The kitchen is not the one in pictures 1/3 of size ,dirt, mould in corners of fridge ,what appears to be mouse droppings in cupboards, plenty of pics as proof .key safe to enter property just popped open so anyone could walk in in night. AVOID AVOID AVOID oh and free breakfast is a lie and garden...

"My room was comfortable though basic and the hotel is in a great location for Ryde just being minutes walk from the hovercraft and the town centre. The staff were really noce and friendly and the breakfasts were amazing! If I come to Ryde again, I would definitely stay here."
"If you use a wheelchair make sure you state this when booking. Accessible suites are only available on the 2nd floor and the lift does not go to the third floor. We were on the third so we had some steps to use and drag the chair up. An access ramp is at the side of the building but, if you cannot do stairs, you have to wheel through the outside bar patio in the front, into the back of the bar, through the restaurant and out into the lobby. Very small lift as well if you have a lot of baggage and a wheelchair. Make sure you order your meals AT THE BAR. We were not told this at check in (although they made a reservation for us at the restaurant they neglected to mention we had to go to the bar to order) and we sat for 15 minutes waiting to flag a server! The hotel itself was nice (we had adjoining rooms) and rooms were clean and comfortable. It was very noisy though as you are on a main road (lots of motor bikes!), noise from the patio at the bar and noise from people entering and leaving the building. I'm not sure we would stay there again, but it was great experience staying at an historical building right on the Ryde seafront. "
"We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, the location was very convenient and it was spacious enough for the two of us plus my dog. Due to the high ceilings we needed to have fires in the evenings and the Wi-Fi wasn’t the strongest with two of us using it at the same time. The garden was a good size for my dog with plenty of space to explore safely. Overall, I would recommend staying at the property.. "
"Very good property overall. Lovely but also helpful staff showed us around the hotel, and very good area as well (short walk down the high street to the beautiful beach/pier) and lovely beds and bathroom. Very clean and would definitely recommend. "
