"We enjoyed our stay at Alma lodge hotel, staff were polite and friendly .the room was spacious and spotless and tea and coffee facilities were in the room. The bed was fairly comfortable but a bit on the small side for my 6ft 2 husband. The only downside was after travelling for several hours to get there ,checking in at 3pm we were informed the restaurant was closed and we were unable to have any food even though afternoon tea and sandwiches was advertised. "Staff friendly especially concierge. Would have been nice to have been told we couldn't use the pool as we were room only at the beginning of our stay as we had planned to go swimming the day after the wedding. The room was very nice with plenty of space. Nice comfy bed. Food was good and the drink was reasonably priced for an update market hotel. The bar staff need to be trained more on cocktails as they didn't know some basic ones. We had to Google it for them. I think it was a Black Russian...
