"The room was lovely and clean, missing a shelf in the bathroom but otherwise in great condition. We found the mattress to be too hard but the room was quiet with a nice view from the window. Breakfast was nice and the dining room wasn't crowded, the only thing missing for us was fried eggs. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the ships and Gunwharf Quay shops, cheap/free parking was another bonus. We would return to this hotel."

"We stayed 2 nights, was very good , the staff was excellent very friendly. The spa , gym steam room swimming pool and jacuzzi which you need to pay £5 to get access to, was actually no bad honestly."

"Great hotel, parking at the hotel is only a few spaces but believe there is a multi-storey nearby. Lovely room with a Balcony looking out over the marina and nice boats. We had a drink and dinner in the restaurant upstairs, and loved the food and service. Lovely views from the roof bar and decor."

"Great sized room Breakfast was very good with great choice Places to eat nearby Just don’t agree on having to pay for parking if staying the night We had to pay for two cars"

"This was my first stay in DoubleTree Southampton and it’ll be the first on my list of places to stay when I return to the city again. Friendly staff, fantastic rooms, great shower in room, great food and atmosphere and breakfast was top notch. Definitely recommend this hotel."

"Second Nature Southampton is a lovely hotel. The room we had was spacious and clean, with a nicely sized bathroom. It’s not a far walk to Oxford Street, where you can find a collection of good restaurants and pubs. St. Mary’s Stadium, the goal of our trip, was an easy twenty minute walk away. The friendly front desk staff can get a little overwhelmed, as they have to attend to check-ins and the cafe; and if you have an email with your parking confirmation, have it ready, otherwise you may be told to park on the street. Overall, they do their best to accommodate you. So if you’re going to Southampton, Second Chance is a fine choice for lodging."
