"The Mount Royal Hotel in Edinburgh was a very nice hotel. Central to old town, new town, buses, trains, hollyrood, etc. The room ans common areas were extremely clean and the staff polite. The bar and restaurant were fantastic- good drinks and great breakfast buffet. Home made butter was delicious. Only issues were coffee machines-2- where one was not working and the other brew your own in 1-2 min was backed up occasionally with the breakfast crowd. BIGGEST CONCERN was the location for drop off and pickup- street in front was RESERVED only for buses and trains. Very confusing as you had to figure it out on your own - lots of driving in circles and finally drop off a block or two away in StAndrews square and lug suitcases to hotel. That should be mention - e.g., no direct drop off at hotel due to reserved street; need to park a couple blocks away! Overall, good experience."

"The room had no facial tissues. When I asked at the front desk for a box of tissues, I was told that tissues are not provided, and I should use the toilet paper! The thinness and texture of toilet paper is NOT a suitable substitute for facial tissue. I went to a convenience store to buy my own tissues."

"I want to leave feedback regarding the customer service experience at the Holiday Inn, specifically near the Starbucks area. First, I do want to acknowledge that there were two Indian women working in the Starbucks area who were very kind, respectful, and professional. They treated customers with courtesy, and I appreciated their positive attitude. However, the manager with white hair overseeing that area had an extremely rude and dismissive attitude. I felt completely unwelcome during the interaction. Her behavior toward me came across as irritated, cold, and disrespectful. What made the situation more upsetting was noticing the difference in how she interacted with other customers. I observed her smiling and being pleasant with white guests, while her attitude toward me as a Black customer felt noticeably different and dismissive. Whether intentional or not, that is how the interaction came across to me, and it left a very negative impression. Customer service should be respectful and professional toward everyone. Unfortunately, the behavior from that manager reflected poorly on the hotel experience overall."

"Cashless hotel only accepts card. Room are tiny but pizza is offered 24 hours. The complimentary juice machine was out of order. Although property is close to Tram and rail service, it also neighbors several busy office buildings. Including a currently active construction site. No expectation of privacy or quiet. Customer service was lukewarm, but available. Would only recommend for one night stay, and for closeness to airport."

"They finally finished construction and the place is 100% better and looks modern but in a rustic sort of way. Staff is wonderful especially Shaha who checked me in and worked with me to give me a great weeks stay."

"I gave a 4 star rating only because the room was small for what we paid, but nicely appointed and clean. Great toiletries (and even a wash cloth which was a pleasant surprise). We had the buffet breakfast and the service and variety was excellent."
