"Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out."

"This was in the perfect location for us, and although a couple imperfections (wifi didn't work for us - probably needed to reboot router; room was a little cold - radiator never felt very hot), overall we had a very pleasant stay. "A good no frills budget hotel with all that is necessary for a single night stay. Plenty of parking and easy to find. An easy 10 minute drive to the ferry terminal. "We had a good 3 night's stay in Hôtel Le Louvre. The welcome at reception was a bit odd as the receptionist asked us if we wanted a clean room! We replied of course. Yes, the room was clean so all was well. The room had a good size but did not have much storage space. It had a Bosch coffee machine and 2 coffee pods per day were provided. The bathroom was fairly spacious and had had a bathtub and shower combination. For us having a bath is always a plus point. The hotel is very central and close to a many of restaurants and cafes. A welcome pack of biscuits and 500 ml bottle of water was nice. This is a reliable central 3 star choice in Cherbourg. If we would go back to Cherbourg, we would happily stay there again but we would also look at other options."

"This hotel is ideally located. Walking distance from the ferry terminal and the town, which boasts great cafe's, restaurants, shops and museums. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It would of been nice to of had a little bit more of a choice for breakfast and could of been a bit better priced. Otherwise, it is a great hotel, rooms are a good size, quiet and great views. We will be staying there again for sure."
