Fantastic stay, friendly helpful staff, food in restaurant was amazing, definitely staying again

Quick check-in, family room had two bedrooms, one king and two single size beds. Flatscreen in both rooms and plenty of tea/coffee supplies. Lots of hangers and storage and very nice bathroom with shower bath. Good selection at breakfast and very nice

Everything about The Royal is quality. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable and the food is excellent, varied and very good value for money

Second visit to Thurnham Hall and it was not a let down. The greeting when you arrive is second to none. The hall itself is beautiful and the studio room was perfect for the two of us. If you are looking for a busy adventurous holiday this is probably not the hotel for you but it is well located for exploring Lancaster and Cumbria. For accommodation with only 4 rooms this hotel offers every facility that ten plus room establishments do. We stayed in the annex and I was not only impressed with the standard of the room finish but also the added extras , like bone china cups, bottled water and slippers provided. The food was all freshly prepared and made to order by the in house chef and every dish was cooked to perfection.

Stunning view of the bay. Lovely spacious room with quirky bathroom. Enjoyed our stay. Outside of the building could do with a lick of paint.

Loved this place, a little out of Cartmel but liked that, pleasant evening stroll into town, great view across the racecourse, well looked after hotel, plenty of parking Points to improve could do with some car chargers but thats a minor point, will be back

Staff were excellent. The food was excellent. Everywhere was spotless. The 4 bedrooms are up 3 flights of stairs but the staff we extremely helpful. An enjoyable experience. The pub is quirky.
