The wide, sandy beaches invite leisurely walks at low tide where you can hunt for sand dollars and shells. Explore the charming village shops and galleries before heading to nearby MacMillan Provincial Park to see ancient Douglas fir trees.
The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable.
The lady on check in was very friendly and helpful. The rabbits grazing in the grounds were fun to watch. The Rickys Grill next door was very handy but we also managed to self cater one night using the fridge and microwave.

A wonderful night's sleep in this lovely historic hotel. The attached restaurant serves delicious, high quality and very reasonably priced food. Staff are lovely and tolerated my husband gobbling up their sweets on reception. The beach front is a short walk away, but don't cross the golf course or you will be shouted at by irate gentlemen!

This was the 3rd hotel we stopped at on our Canadian trip and was by far the best.
From an easy check in to a great room, excellent service and very good food and drink at reasonable prices - compared to elsewhere in Canada, the whole experience was most enjoyable.
They couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Brookie was first class as our waitress.
The scenery across the bay was stunning. Meeting a bernese on the beach just topped it all off !!
We will definitely be back.

What an amazing place to stay. The resort offers stunning views, amazing wildlife watching, lakefront area with docks and free access to activities like kayaking and paddleboarding.
Nestled in Vancouver Island with access to Port Alberni and Tofino 1.5hrs drive - absolutely would come back and thank you for an amazing stay!

This is a good property, staff really friendly and helpful, hotel is very clean. It is located on the outskirts of Nanaimo but is near all of the retail parks so plenty accessible. The only thing you could really call out about this is that the decor is a bit dated but this shouldn’t put you off. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with two doubles and a sofa bed. The sofa bed is probably getting to a point where it could do with replacing as springs starting to go but this might just be the one in...

The motel was close to local amenities, restaurants, etc.
The motel self catering facilities were excellent with plenty of crockery, utensils, etc, and easy parking.
