Overall Average- All Inclusive has its limits

Posted 05-Dec-2016
Pros: The staff were very friendly
Cons: See above comments, I could have done most of this in Vegas
Location: Hard Rock Café, nothing really nearby, 2.5 hours to Santo Domingo with too many stops to pick up other passengers Fishing was OK
Too Much hard sell on the buying packages for future use The Food was OK but there was a little too much construction going on and some restaurants closed Beach was beautiful and staff were very friendly Drinks were limited (1 draft beer) top shelf drinks were weak Room needed a lot of TLC and the

Cons: No pressure sales pitch
Very disappointed with the pressure to attend 9 a.m. vacation plan meeting and breakfast that we experienced when first arriving. After saying we were not interested they brought over another person with more pressure to attend. We were hungry, had not been to our room. Tired after long flight. My husband and I were at the resort before it changed names and never experience this. Many others we talked with were not happy either. I see where this will not be posted, but we will pass this on as we have recommended to others. Also disappointed that the kids had to pay to play miniture golf. Purchased buggy boards when didn't know the red flag was up and they would not refund the $30. They had to know that the red flag was up and kids not allowed in water. Would recommend hotel only after sharing these experiences.

Très bon séjour, mais les installations devraient être un peu rénovées.

Nice hotel but weather was bad

Posted 25-Nov-2016
I was there for a short trip for a wedding. It poured for all but one day so I didn't get to enjoy much of the beach/pool area unfortunately. I did go to the spa a few times and that was amazing!

Nice overall

The people and food was amazing the only complaints we had was the room didn't cool off very well, and while it was raining in the main lobby there was a lot of leaks, and there could be more trolleys to take you around because the resort is huge and you get you walking in that's for sure.

Celebration..Disappointed on all levels Save ur $$

Posted 19-Nov-2016
Pros: If you want to go to their Oro Nightclub, be prepared to pony up $ to get in. It is not part of the all inclusive package you just paid for.
Cons: So many disappointments. The staff was not the happiest staff so that also put a damper on things. Resort credits you say? They are a racket.
Location: Hard Rock take your name back this resort is ruining the Hard Rock name that we have all come to love. Everything about this resort is so wrong...
“Birthday and 5 Year Anniversary Celebration..Disappointed on all levels” When we decided to book our getaway at Hard Rock Punta Cana we were really excited to be trying something new. We usually stay at Majestic. I understood it was a huge property but the drawbacks with being such, I found out first hand. Coming from NYC it was a huge turn off to us to have to shuttle back and forth on trolley's provided by the hotel to get back and forth to the beach and pools. We are not Rock Royalty members so our room was far from the beach and pools. We felt as though we were traveling back and forth from Times Sq to Grand Central every day. Such a hassle and puts a damper on the experience. For such a big resort, it is a shame that they don't have more activities planned for its guests around the clock. I also have a huge issue with the fact that construction was going on 24/7 around the clock as I tried my best to enjoy the many pools. Too bad they were all surrounded by construction. I also am surprised that none of the non Rock Royalty pools had swim up bars. We were looking forward to good food at the many restaurants on the property. Not happening! The only 3 decent restaurants were Market for breakfast and lunch, Toro and Zen for dinner. How about the casino? I must be on another planet because drinks are not free at this casino. Only beer!

Wonderful experience!

Posted 19-Nov-2016
Pros: All amenities were close--food, entertainment, beach, bars, shops, etc.
Cons: Repair the leaks.
Location: Monkey Land is a must do for the entire family.
Very friendly and pleasant staff throughout the entire hotel. All of the dining options were great with the exception of the Mexican restaurant. Food was not that good. Spa was wonderful and relaxing and well worth the money. Resort was beautiful and well kept, but was under construction throughout and several roof leaks were apparent. Had left some cash in the room one day that was taken, but may have been mistaken as a tip. So didn't report the incident. Overall, did not hinder our stay or our plans. Would definitely recommend to a friend and would stay here again.

The Hard Rock Punta Cana was amazing--from the staff to the amenities to the food! We had a great honeymoon thanks to the Hard Rock!

Best all inclusive I've been to

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: Hotel staff very friendly, hotel very clean, a lot of food options
Cons: More adherent trolley schedule since it didn't always come on time.
