Our childrens enjoyed the time . Everything was very authentic and the slightly medival and rustic environment was exiting for our younger kids. Our oldest daughter was concerned about the Wifi but did survive with the existing speed of it. The hosts are very warm and friendly and had even a surprise for the birthday of our middle daughter. The closest beach is a 7-8 minutes drive. We´ve been there at the right time and did envoy the Denneville Oyster Festival with some nice wine and fantasic seafood! De woning betreft een deel van een schuur of stal van een kasteel dat vakkundig omgebouwd werd tot een kleine vakantiewoning. Het geheel geeft een cosy uitstraling. De kleine keuken en de badkamer ogen wel wat rommelig. Es war wie Urlaub im Freilichtmuseum, das Gelände war inspirierend, die ländliche Ruhe sehr entspannend. Wir alle, aber besonders die Kinder, haben den Kontakt zu den Tieren genossen. Ein besonderes Highlight für die Kinder war die Möglichkeit mit dem Paddelboot auf dem Burgweiher zu fahren. Die Ferienwohnung ist, passend zum Gesamt-Setting, rustikal und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und eingerichtet, dennoch musste niemand auf die Annehmlichkeiten der modernen Technik verzichten. Es war gut funktionierendes WLAN vorhanden, was besonders für die Kinder entscheidend ist.Auch für Menschen, die gerne und anspruchsvoll kochen, waren alle benötigten Utensilien incl. Pürierstab auf Lager. In wenigen Minuten ist Portbail sur mer mit dem Auto erreichbar und bietet sowohl Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie auch Kultur und wunderschöne Natur mit endlosen Stränden und malerischen Dünen. De woning was echter heel donker, de bedden waren te kort, de douche was minimaal en buiten was een tafel waar je niet goed aan kon zitten. Wel 3 lekkere ligstoelen. Het huisje daarentegen viel echt tegen voor ons.Het was er heel donker binnen, er is bijna niets van ramen. We konden bijna niets zien van binnenuit. Ook was er heel weinig eetgerei vb er waren maar 4 tassen terwijl het verhuurd wordt voor 6 personen.Bovendien was er heel weinig comfort aanwezig : heel slechte bedden, badkamer ook niet comfortabel, ook geen aangename zetel om gezellig in te zitten. Ook buiten stond er een picknicktafel die helemaal niet aangenaam was om aan te zitten.De relaxzetels buiten waren dan wel goed. Wir hatten einen tollen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus/Gite. Die authentische Atmosphäre ist jeden Tag ein Erlebnis und dennoch hat man den Komfort moderner Küchengeräte und Co. Die 2 Fernseher haben wir zwar nicht genutzt, sind aber vorhanden... Der morgendliche Blick durch die Terrassentür auf die Teichseite ist grandios mit Blick auf die beiden ständigen Bewohner, ein Schwarm Schwäne, und das Schloss im Restaurierungsmodus. Über einen Weg können Sie das Schloss und den See komplett umrunden, was herrliche Fotomotive bietet. Die Terrasse mit Sonnenliegen und Picknicktischen (klein) (eines für Kleinkinder) ist vor allem wegen des großen Sonnenschirms sehr bequem.... Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und lassen einen in Ruhe, stehen aber bei Fragen zur Verfügung. Freilandschwein Simon, der damit sehr zufrieden ist, er Schmeckt sehr gut, aber okay, es ist auch ein Schwein und nicht der Burgherr. Alles in allem ist dieses Ferienhaus sehr zu empfehlen und Cotentin/Normandie ist auch eine wunderschöne Gegend zum Entdecken voller historischer und landschaftlicher Erlebnisse und einer mehrtägigen Reise Der Besuch der Landungsstrände ist natürlich ein sehr beeindruckendes Erlebnis und ein Erlebnis, das Ihnen immer in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Das Obergeschoss haben wir nicht genutzt, aber es ist wirklich groß, mit zwei Schlafzimmern und einem Badezimmer und einem schönen Balkenwerk-Aussehen, genau wie im Erdgeschoss. Wir werden sicherlich in ein paar Jahren hierher zurückkehren, und sei es nur, um den Fortschritt der Restaurierungen zu sehen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, für alle Fragen ansprechbar. Die Tiere sowie das Ruderboot auf dem kleinen See haben uns und besonders den Kindern viel Freude bereitet.
