nothing was to much trouble and couldnt have been any friendlier our 2end stay and wont be our last

This was our second stay at the property. We received a warm welcome as usual and checked into our spacious family room. The hotel is clean but a little tired in places. We're happy to see that they are undertaking a refurbishment and look forward to seeing the results next year. The location is outstanding; a short walk from the beach and high street. This is a hotel that we have stayed at during different times of the year. This weekend was very cold but it was lovely and warm in the room.The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The evening meal in the restaurant was outstanding with service to match. Breakfast was equally excellent.

Lots of easy parking, set beside the river. Very quiet, great food - wonderfully crispy chips - fantastic choice of malt whiskeys. A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Certainly stay there again.

Excellent attention to detail. The Landlord and his team were extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much bother. Free parking was an added bonus.

When we arrived it was dark so we had no idea where we were, the lady in reception was very friendly and gave us a choice of two rooms, the rooms were clean and tidy, unfortunately the hotel only does breakfast but the lady pointed us in the right direction for food. It was a lovey quite night and when we got up and looked out the window....omg...what a view, we were right by the sea on the edge of a cliff. This Guest House is very welcoming. You are greeted with a big smile and settled in quickly and smoothly. If you have any issues, there is a can do approach to helping you out. There is a lovely homely lounge for visitors to share inclusive with fridge, games, tv, open fire, and for the adventurous, maps. Manageress went out of her way to make us welcome. Room was a fair size, clean with ample storage, small fridge and a good size ensuite with bath and separate shower. Only noise you can hear is the river flowing nearby and the birds at first light. Varied menu and expect good quality and service. Cosy and warm bar. Small hotel with ample parking close by. Highly recommended and will visit again.

Excellent place,in the middle of nowhere but easy access to town and coast. Simon the owner could not do enough for us. We took our pup and who was welcome everywhere.would definitely stay there again.

Had a superb 2 night stay here with our 2 daughters & our dog. Fantastic refurb of the bar & restaurant. Excellent plentiful breakfast. Very comfortable & spotlessly clean throughout. Very friendly staff who welcomed our dog as much as they did us! Perfect location to explore Lynmouth & Lynton. Couldn't ask for better. Thank you for having us! (photo is view from our room)
