Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Good food

Clean & comfortable rooms, Food was tasty & staff are all really friendly

Second visit to Thurnham Hall and it was not a let down. The greeting when you arrive is second to none. The hall itself is beautiful and the studio room was perfect for the two of us. If you are looking for a busy adventurous holiday this is probably not the hotel for you but it is well located for exploring Lancaster and Cumbria. We enjoyed the quiet rural surroundings and it was very nice to retire to an extremely well kitted out room. It had a huge bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen if...

Everything about The Royal is quality. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable and the food is excellent, varied and very good value for money

Great hotel, great staff, great food, well worth a visit. Very well kept gym and spa facilities. Immaculate throughout.

Very helpful staff and excellent food.

Real luxury, and a quiet, dark night's sleep.

We received a warm welcome in the bar and were shown our room. The room was quite small but it was clean and well laid out and had everything we needed. Breakfast of cereal bar, instant porridge and a croissant is provided but we headed to the Wetherspoons or local cafe. The bar is very welcoming and has a nice atmosphere. We liked the central location for exploring Lancaster and not far from the University so we were able to easily visit our son. We will definitely be back.

We had such a relaxing time. Just what was needed before heading back to work next week. The Aqua thermal journey was amazing- a whole two hours with no phone, no conversation just me and my thoughts. Bliss! The food was delicious and the staff were just lovely, so welcoming and friendly. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable. We paid for this with our Tesco Clubcard voucher so our whole stay cost £79 for dinner bed and breakfast for 2 nights.

Friendly staff

Lovely modern hotel. Fresh milk provided in the fridge and excellent choice at breakfast. Will stay again when in the area.

Upon our arrival, there was no parking left in the car park, however, we were able to park nearby, and the next morning were able to put it into the car park, so it wasn't any issue. Nice hotel, friendly staff lovely breakfast, room was a lovely size, as was the bathroom, Id booked a quadruple room, and was worried it would be cramped but it wasn't there was a partition between the double bed and the bunk bed, which was brilliant. The breakfast, was fabulous, with something for everybody,...

Hotel public areas well laid out with nice comfortable seating, check in was prompt and easy. Room was well laid out, lovely spacious bathroom with a good sized walk in shower. Comfortable L shape sofa and a large tv and you can plug in your firestick if you want to watch your favourite tv shows. Bed was amazingly comfortable I had two fantastic sleeps didn’t awaken like I’d normally do. Across from hotel is Blackpool north train station which is where I arrived. Also there’s a large Sainsbury’s...

My 3rd time there & I would not choose anywhere else in the centre of Lancaster Comfortable rooms with great breakfasts & lunch/ dinner as well as welcoming bar & friendly helpful staff

One of the best independent hotels in the area very clean well decorated and great hosts micheal and Eddie are just lovely.

What a find ! This hotel was one of the best we have stayed at . The welcome was warm and friendly , nothing was too much trouble . Our breakfast was delicious and we loved how different times were available. The hotel offered an earlier check in time than many others and check out is 12 o clock which means on a weekend away you can manage a lie in and a long leisurely breakfast which was just what we needed . Thank you so much , we would definitely recommend you and will come back again some...

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay. Room 101 was spacious and comfortable, with splendid views from the big bay window. We were due to dine out but when we saw the menu for the restaurant, Coast, we chose to eat in, an excellent decision because our dinner was delicious! Cooked breakfast also good - plentiful, hot and tasty. Table service which is so much nicer than the breakfast buffets hotels tend to lay on these days. The staff were all friendly and professional. Thank you, we will...
