"An amazing property. Clean, spacious and provided everything needed for our stay. A lovely welcome basket with crisps, coffee and biscuits for us with milk and chilled water in the fridge. Also, some biscuit treats for our dog who enjoyed the freedom of exploring the enclosed deck. Comfortable beds and accommodation. My partner enjoyed the PS4 whilst I relaxed with a book. This was our second stay at the Forest and Vale. Our first since 'lockdown' and we were delighted that the hotel was as good as before. Unfortunately, we could only get a standard double room in the 'cottage annexe' No view but this was perfectly comfortable and adequate for our 4-night stay. Breakfasts were delightful, Cooked to order with plenty of choice. Good dinner menu too. The biggest plus point for this hotel though is the staff. We were not aware but we had booked the 'Romantic Package'- bottle of bubbly waiting for us and a box of chocolates, a lovely surprise. Delightful room with 4 poster bed. Ate in the evening, extensive menu and excellent food. Good breakfast and Buck's Fizz came with our package. Excellent service from everyone, good value for money. Very popular with locals so advisable to book a table if you want to eat there.

Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location.
