Luxurious seaside house with spectacular sea views, 3 minute walk to sandy beach

Nantucket is our family holiday home and we are happy to be able to share! The house has recently been fully refurbished to a high standard with new bathrooms and kitchen. A luxurious well equipped detached house within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and close to the centre of the popular village of Freshwater East. Several footpaths lead through sand dunes and the nature reserve to the beautiful safe sandy beach below which is a few minutes walk away.

The light and airy living accommodation opens up onto the south facing terrace where you can sit back and relax on the comfortable sofas and enjoy the sound of waves crashing on the shore and soak up the stunning uninterrupted sea views. Breakfast on the balcony is always a highlight of our stays.

I love to cook so the kitchen is spacious and well equipped, perfect for catering for large gatherings. Fitted with quality Seimens appliances and has an expresso coffee machine for your morning coffee fix!

We love spending time with family and friends here as the house provides the perfect mix of sociable living spaces with the added advantages of separate TV snug and private seating areas in the bedrooms. So when you want a little time away from the rest of the gang you can easily find peace and quiet to read a book or gather your thoughts.

Nantucket is our much-loved family holiday home, the place we go to relax and unwind.

Schlechter Zustand - überteuert / bad condition - overpriced
Bad condition - Overpriced Unfortunately, the house did not keep what it promised. On arrival the house was not cleaned well (e.g. dog food in the bedroom, used handkerchief under the couch). In the bedroom on the ground floor you could not open a window, there was also a lot of mold in the room, so it smelled musty and was very damp. The other bedrooms also had black mold on the walls. Two skylights in the living and dining area were leaking, it dripped onto the table and the armchairs. We had to catch the water. Our report was laconically dismissed with reference to the weather conditions. The carpet in the living room needs to be replaced urgently as it is completely dirty. The decking boards are partially rotten, a stair post has broken through. The garden is overgrown, patio furniture is missing. The cutlery only had four teaspoons. The rental price is completely overpriced. It's a shame, we've often booked a holiday home, but we've never been so disappointed, especially in this price category."

Great Property
Whilst this is a lovely property in a great location. Initially when we arrived we were disappointed about the outside appearance which was tired and unkempt. Inside there was a fousty smell in the hall and family room, which soon went with airing the house. It seemed that the house had been unoccupied for some time. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern and well appointed. The bedrooms were also lovely with good quality bedding and comfy beds. We have come away having enjoyed our stay but this property needs a maintenance check. Examples were toilet seats not fixed, door handles not working, light bulbs missing or needing replacement. Although this is a property by the sea the windows were dirty in particular the kitchen window. Other than this the cleanliness of the property was good. A little TLC would make this an outstanding property. Despite the small issues we would visit this property again.

Comfortable house in a lovely location
We were a party of 7 family members (adults) and one dog and all agreed that the house was clean, the beds comfortable, the heating was efficient (we went in October), a good kitchen, plenty of parking (4 cars max) and lovely views. It was just slightly let down by some attention to detail when compared to similar properties that we've stayed in. The post code was wrong on the directions to the property which caused a bit of confusion; a few logs and kindling would have been nice for the fire; the broken lamp in the main living area could have been replaced/fixed; three toilet rolls seemed a little sparse for a potential party of 8 to start their holiday with and some washing up liquid and bin bags would have been helpful. All really minor issues which didn't spoil our stay, but would have made the house perfect if they had been addressed.

Excellent property and location. Super living space for large groups plus spacious bedrooms. Lovely balcony to enjoy the views to the bay and the beach is only 5-10 minutes walk down the hill. A little longer to come back!

Lovely property
This house is a lovely, spacious and well equipped base in Pembrokeshire. We really enjoyed our stay at Nantucket. Short stroll down to the beach and access to the coastal path. The house is very well equipped and the layout means there is space for people to find a quiet spot when needed. The beds are the most comfortable we’ve come across. Finally the owner is very responsive and helpful. I really hope we find the opportunity to visit again.

Lovely Holiday Home
The 3 minute walk down to the beach is challenging especially for younger kids and grandparents ,so best to park the car at Freshwater East carpark . Otherwise a great location for those looking for peaceful and beautiful views

Beautiful Pembrokeshire
The property was fabulous with everything we could have hoped for. The living area is bright and spacious and the two balconies are a great asset. The garden was a bit overgrown but the was rectified. We thought there was a barbecue but that was listed as in the kitchen so no outside one. The floors are a bit creaky but the bedrooms bathrooms etc were all excellent.

Lovely house, shame about the garden
The house was very good, comfortable, clean and well appointed. The garden lets it down. It was overgrown and unsafe as the garden path paving slabs had been lifted and not repaired. The hedges were too high and meant there was hardly any sea view from the balcony unless you were standing up. They also overhung the path. There were nettles and brambles and we deemed it unsafe for our young grandchildren to play out in it. The deck also requires maintenance. So overall inside - 5 stars, garden 1 star only. Until the garden has a makeover and is properly maintained we would only recommend this house for adults.

Lovely Holiday - Great place to stay
Excellent property with stunning sea views from the top patio area. Location is very good and never had to travel far. We took many of our own kitchen/cooking items only to find they were not needed as the kitchen was extremely well kitted out. Would thoroughly recommend.
