"Beautiful 50’s-ish-retro-roadside-motel. Recently renovated and very well done.There are some snacks/drinks in the room available for purchase, very thoughtful. Didn’t anticipate this so we brought our own for an overnight stay. Easy access to a marshy scenic area by the bay on a 650’ walking trail. Might be fishable with a kayak? Basically an Air BnB situation: “No on-site staff” ."

"We had an amazing time relaxing and reconnecting with family and friends. This home is so wonderful, and you feel the love and details the owners have put into the home. Attention to details and many unique offerings make this a special place.There so many locations to relax and enjoy the sound of the seas and all day breezes. KItchen was incredibly equipped We loved the many hammocks and having a fire on the beach every night. Lisa was extremely responsive with our questions and we hope to return again soon."

"The Spotted Grouper was exactly what my wife and I needed, a quiet, peaceful respite from our stressful jobs and hectic lives in a large urban area. The cottage is unassuming, but perfect for a kicked-back beach getaway. It had everything we needed, and the screened-in porch with a vintage glider is icing on the cake. Two large restaurants in Panacea - Angelo’s and The Trident - just a short drive from the cottage - are superb, definitely worth checking out. Just down the road is Bald Point State Park, with a beautiful white sand beach we had all to ourselves and hiking trails, where we spent a full morning exploring. We’ve vacationed in the Florida Panhandle many times, but we agreed that the week we spent at the Spotted Grouper was our best vacation yet. Highly recommended."

"We live in NW FL and wanted a quick getaway - AWAY from it all; and we found this sweet cottage on the water. With 2 dogs, pet friendly is the only way we go and the owner had a lot of items to use for free for pets, the beach, games, etc... Well appointed and incredibly hospitable and accommodating even though I messed up the reservation and was a day off. The house was clean with nice additions (soft close trash), wall lights for the floor, outdoor chairs and cushions, kitchen stocked with everything you need so you don't have to leave. Which is exactly what we did and we will absolutely be back and highly recommend. (From a couple that was in the hotel business for 25+ years)"

"This beach house has everything we needed for one of our best beach trips yet!! We had 11 people ranging from ages 1-62. There was plenty of room for all of us! Each family had their own area. Private, yet all together! We had people fishing, kayaking, swimming, shelling, grilling, crabbing and just chilling in the beach. The listing is exactly as shown. We have already requested to book next year!"

"My family stayed at this beautiful house for my son’s graduation from FSU. It was absolutely perfect for all of us. I have never rented a home that had a kitchen stocked as well as this one. Everything you could want was there for cooking. They even have the little things like tin foil, all the spices, sharp knives, coffee filters, and extra paper towels if needed. I could go on and on. We also all felt such a sense of peacefulness while there. The views from every room of the gulf and also the bay made it even better. Every person had a view from their room. The walks on the beach were amazing with so much sea life! We saw sting rays, dolphins feeding, very large clams, hermit crabs and tons of beautiful birds. We all felt like we had been there for at least a week when it was only 3 nights. The elevator & ramp was an extra plus for my family. Made it so that the grandparents could enjoy the graduation get together without any trouble. This is a piece of paradise not to miss!!"
