The positives - the staff we all terrific, friendly, and helpful. The food was good quality buffet. The coffee and drinks delicious. The main lounge was comfortable and relatively cool and empty. The neighborhood was ok, though we didnt explore too much due to the heat. For us the less good review: We chose to go to a hotel for the final 2 nights of our stay to cool down from the heat wave that had pervaded our 3-week trip to the island. It was an expensive choice and the AC here was ineffective throughout the hotel, and especially disappointing in the room. The room was tiny, and the bed, which was comfortable had a kind of memory foam top, but did not smell clean. As if the sweat of previous guests was in the memory foam. : ( The hotel was packed so during the day there was rarely a chaise lounge to be had by the pool and so crowded that it was like being at a party with peoples personal music, smoking, and lively conversation. There was music playing throughout the hotel that was more party than vacation. We know a festive time is what some people are looking for in their vacation and this is high season so that aspect was a mismatch for us rather than a problem with the hotel.
