This was our sixth stay at the Bussola as Orta is somewhere we visit regularly. For the first time in a few visits we ate here too. We had forgotten how good the food is and having dinner and on the terrace overlooking the lake is the perfect location to enjoy it. The menu was different on each of the two nights with enough choice for most people. The only minor criticism from last time, paying for WiFi, has now been resolved and it’s free like most hotels. Very nice, friendly hotel overall in a great location for those arriving by train. It is a 15-20 minute walk to Orta San Giulio but if you are reasonably able bodied it's not really a problem, we went there and back 4 times in two days and were fine! The room was modern and clean with a balcony and a nice view of the little terrace. The only problem we had was that they had forgotten to put towels in our room, which they rectified immediately when we asked them. The breakfast buffet was lovely,...

I understand there are several rooms in various locations under this hotel and we were part of a wedding party with several staying at this hotel. I understand some rooms were not great but ours was fabulous. We had a very large room overlooking the main piazza and the lake. It was stunning.
Breakfast in a nearby restaurant in the same square was fantastic too. We had a wonderful stay.

Absolutely beautiful newly renovated property! Decor and service were top quality. We had a small issue with our shower and the host sorted it immediately and efficiently. Lovely to be able to visit the wine cellar next door and taste the local produce. Highly recommended. The photos on the listing don’t do it justice at all. Recommend nearby pizza place called Fluke for dinner too. Walking distance to it.
