2 good nights sleep. Good size room. King sixe bed and matress zzzzzz. Both meals and breakfasts were great. The staff are very pleasant and polite. They actually look like they enjoy working there. This could be because it is an NHS run hospital so less stressful on the staff. The views are of the River Clyde. Both days we watched the last ocean going steam paddle ship sail past it is the best sight and sound.

The hotel has beautiful scenic views and gorgeous interior. The staff at this hotel could not have been more welcoming, starting with reception, to house keeping, to the staff at the spa/pool and lastly but not least the restaurant staff. I did, however, have one negative experience which was that I passed out in the spa sauna - the high tempature and my low blood pressure were not a good mix. This bad experience was turned around though due to the amazing staff at the spa who made sure I was...

The staff were friendly, with one lovely ginger boy telling us lots of stories about the hotel and its origins, and one tall waiter finding us a seat looking onto the arena despite those tables all being reserved (sorry that I forgot the actual names!) The lodge was cosy, clean, well equipped and also wheelchair accessible which we thought was a nice touch. The food was amazing.. "best salmon I've had in years' and the bruschetta and mussels also top notch for very fair prices. The whole...

I stayed with two friends to do some walking in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond area. Our primary requirement was for somewhere of a reasonable standard within easy driving distance of where we wanted to walk. In the event, the Abbotsford Hotel delivered all that we wanted and more. The accommodation was good, in comfortable well-fitted rooms, food was great and, most of all, the staff were as friendly and helpful as any I have come across. Despite its main road location, the rooms were relatively...

A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

The hotel is in a quiet location with beautiful gardens. We had a beautiful spacious room that was well appointed. All the staff we came across were lovely.

Perfect for an overnight to catch a flight early morning.

Booked a short notice overnight stay in one of the upgraded pods. It was very nice with a very nice location. It was really quiet and peaceful. We booked dinner in the restaurant and the staff wee attentive, accomodating and very polite. The food choice wasnt huge but the quality of the food was good. It was a little pricey for what it was but you are paying tourist hotel prices. Overall we had a lovely time and would consider booking one of the larger cottages for a family event in the...

Lovely hotel right on the side of the Loch a 30 minute walk into town, but has a great restaurant and bar on site. Fab for Loch side walks, parking on site and free

Only disclaimer is that this is a review about a budget-mid-price hotel. All the ravings probably don't compare to a hotel that costs £££ per night. Other disclaimer: I was given the Lomond Suite, in the older part of the hotel; everything about the room relates to that specific room and be. That said... This is the best hotel I've been to all year (it's mid-December and I travel a few times a month) It is absolutely fantastic for the price, and has a lot of small extras that you'd...

Great hotel

Made to feel most welcome. Nothing to much trouble for the friendly staff.

Enjoyable second stay here.

Check in & parking was easy, with plenty spaces (for a charge - cheaper at weekends), and the staff were lovely. The hotel seemed well staffed and busy with other guest, which is always a good sign. The rooms were lovely, clean and fresh with hand-soap and plenty of towels. We only stayed one night and the room was quiet, the bed and bedding was soft and comfortable and the air conditioning was a pleasant temp to be able to sleep. We will definitely consider this hotel to stay in again.

fantastic family night. Great value for money. Food was out of this world!!! Only issue the room phone did not work and reception staff told us to contact reception from the room but all the phones in our building have been down for weeks. Pool and spa facilities great. Looking forward to coming back.

The room was clean and spacious enough. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing seemed too much. It was perfect proximity to the Hydro and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay there again

Good food and drink options, ample space to socialise and relax. Central and close to transport links when needed
