"This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and in calm , quiet location. The room was nice and clean and a good size. The presentation for the tea and coffee in the room was excellent and a really nice added touch. The breakfast choices were good and cooked on individual requests. A great place to stay . Thank you. "The “hotel” is really a series of separate buildings spread out across a large site. There is no central location to meet for drinks/ coffee. The only restaurant is at the top of a hill (accessed by steep stairways/roads ). There appeared to be some golf buggies but it was not clear how these could be accessed. The restaurant was large and cafeteria-like, lacking in atmosphere. There was a restricted menu; no room service available (you have to collect your meal) and I was told at 4.15 that they stopped serving afternoon tea at 4pm ( which is exactly when most people would want it). The room was clean and well decorated but it was very dimly lit and had minimal toiletries ( no shower cap/tissues). At just over £200 a night for a standard double room it was not great value."

"Lovely bedding comfy bed outstanding grounds The food served in the restaurant was fantastic The hotel is a wonderful place to visit only downside was the bathroom needed an update and carpet in bedroom was stained we would definitely visit again it’s like staying in a hotel with its decor and fancy swag and tails curtains just like it used to be 30 years ago very old school "
