"The room was filthy. Orange and red bits in the sink probably food from someone else’s spit. The ceiling’s peeling off in the bathroom and bedroom. Mould / discolouration in all the bathroom crevices. Mysterious stains all over the bed sheets and pillow covers. Awful sound proofing as I could hear the ladies in the room opposite yapping away all evening. Someone was knocking on their door or my door (couldn’t tell because the walls are so thin it sounds the same) at 9 / 10pm asking to be let in. As a woman I didn’t feel safe with this. No plug sockets by the bed so I couldn’t charge my phone overnight as putting it on the other side of the room would make me miss my alarm. The rooms are so outdated and not well maintained. And the worst part, no heating and awful weather proofing. The room was disgracefully cold and I tried to turn up the thermostat and turn on the heat but nothing. I had to put on my change of clothes on top of my pyjamas just to feel warmer (and was still freezing). The staff don’t even ask how your stay was at checkout (probably as they know they’ll receive poor feedback). Overall awful hotel, pictures don’t show the real / current state of the rooms, may have been nice 50 years ago but not fit for 2026."

"The staff as always were extremely friendly and helpful, we mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and we went out after checking in and when we came back they had left a card, a bar of chocolate and a bottle of wine in our room! What a lovey gesture, excellent t customer service!"

"Very average hotel. I paid for parking and still got a fine from parkingeye. Hopefully hotel will sort it"

"Lovely stay"

"The Good: Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great, plenty of options for places to eat. Plenty of activities available and easy to book. The Bad: No complimentary parking. Some of the lifts were broken and had been for several days before we arrived. There seemed to be no interest in getting them fixed. Quite disappointed overall, not sure I would ever come back. Would have been better booking a holiday abroad."

"It was really cold in the room at night. There seems not to be any heating in the room."

"Good hotel and was perfect location for us with a 4 year old for the night. Hotel rooms are a little dated but all good, however, our bathroom toilet had a terrible public urine smell to it. We had already put the little one to sleep so we shut the door and didn’t mention it until before breakfast but was told on reception that you have to email to let a duty manager know… hopefully they read the email as still awaiting a response so I imagine they could be getting more complaints until they follow up our email which seems a strange way of dealing with the issue."
