"This property was a lucky last minute find. Only 15 minutes from UMD, where my son attends. Can safely have windows open overnight and let the Lake Superior waves lull you to sleep. It is a basement apartment and home owners were not present, so I can’t speak on that. Very nice patio with grill as well as wood burning chiminea, both of which we used and enjoyed immensely. Thank you for sharing your property."

Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Superior Duluth

4/10 Poor

"I often travel with sport teams and stay at the hotel throughout the country. This was the most poorly managed hotel. The breakfast was advertised as 7-9 am. However at 8:40 the breakfast food was out without being replaced. When asked to replace the food, the hotel staff said that the breakfast is closed and no more food is coming. My team was told two days in row to vacate the lobby and stop socializing. The first night it was at 10 pm, the second night we were told the quiet time starts at 9 pm. The hotel has a conference room which were not allowed to use even though nobody else used it. One day we were quoted $100 an hour to use the room, the second day the price went to $200. The theme of this hotel is uncaring staff who either do not know the policies or do not apply them consistently. Also, during the three days at the hotel, our trash wasn’t taken out and the toilet paper was not replaced. I will be staying as far away as possible from Cobblestone Hotel and Suites in the near future."

"The beds were comfortable however there was something on the sheets. Our biggest concern was that the carbon monoxide detector in the room went off at about 2:30 in the morning waking us up. I called the office and someone brought a new one to replace it, however we had a hard time getting back to sleep after that. When we came back to our room later the next day there was a pile of dirty towels just laying in the hallway by our door. The pool was really cold. The breakfast are is very small for how large of a hotel this is when it is busy. It was very hard to move around in there for all of the people. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk did not ask me how the stay was. She just asked what room and if I wanted a receipt. I am normally not one to complain about things at a hotel but the carbon monoxide detector really scared the children."

"Parking is offsite yet I do not recall any mention of that when booking. Also the entrance to the hotel from Superior, street entrance cross the street the from parking structure, did not allow of entrance to the hotel, only exit. This seemed odd given this entrance appeared to have been setup with keypad access at one time."

"It is a nice looking hotel with good breakfast and great location. Our heater did make noise but we didn't complain so I don't know if they could have/would have fixed it. It is a fairly long walk from EV charging (they don't have their own) so I might not stay there again but I love being the closest to the liftbridge."

"Too much noise at night. First night heard individuals talking through the night through the vents in the bedroom and living room. Second night family in next room allowed their child to cry and scream while they were in the livingroom laughing and talking loudly. After woken for the third time to a child screaming we called the front desk. The last time they allowed the child to scream for 15 mins. This was at 12:45 am. After that we no longer heard the child however the adults carried on until 2:50am in the morning. Once again we called front desk as we were not able to sleep with all the noise they were making. They did shut it down after that point. We were leaving in the morning and were driving so we need our sleep."
