"My wife and I stayed for three nights at Bartles Lodge in August 2026. We were warmly welcomed by proprieters upon arrival. The premises were clean and comfortable, we opted for a continental breakfast and the selection offered was excellent. We ate two evening meals which were hot and tasty and well presented. "A great property with lovely facilities and modern, clean styling, Wonderful location with the Abbey over the road and a pretty little town full of boutiques and shops a short walk away. Everything you'd need for a homestay style getaway with a well stocked (for utentsils) kitchenette in the room. Only small issue is the front main door needing to be slammed to close properly when people were leaving to go out."
