A Lovely cottage with plenty of space.
Very nice and clean, highly recommended. A little tricky to find in the dark so could possibly do with larger signage.

The attention to detail in each of the rooms (our family occupied 5 of the rooms) is amazing. Each is completely different but presented to a very high standard. We were wanting for nothing and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. A great place to stay in a great location.

We arrived late and were greeted by very pleasant helpful hosts who made us feel welcome, great selection for breakfast and cooked food was excellent, I would certainly stay again if down in the area and would recommend Pickmere Country Guest House to friends.

Arranged an early check-in with them before hand and on arrival at 1pm the 3 rooms we had booked we're ready for our wedding party.
Breakfast was all cooked to order which was a treat.
Parking is plentiful and secure.

Very good break away at Ellesmere Port. Quiet location, seconds off motorway, and walking distance (10 mins) to bus stops & rail station - giving great access to Chester, Port Sunlight & Liverpool.
Bedroom clean with all the usual amenities. Breakfast plentiful. Evening meal choices ok.
Staff all friendly - so a good little break .

Lovely stay at Stone Villa. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful. The rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lovely hospitality tray which was topped up each day was very welcome after a long day sightseeing. Highly recommended.

Recently refurbished and renovated as a chic bistro winebar and luxury accomodation - throughly enjoyed staying here; would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone - steep stairs to top most floor owing to the age of the building - only negative point .

Great first impressions upon arrival, interior decor makes it feel luxurious and staff were attentive; nothing was too much trouble.
Lack of parking nearby is the only downside and was more because of how bad the weather was, but convenient for walking into the center in the evening.

Perfect location and great service. The staff could not be more helpful. Parking easy and amenities good. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms a little tired but perfectly ok. The only slight downside is the room temperature which was a little on the hot side but overall it was great and we would stay again.

Great place to stay although just for constructive feedback there were areas that appeared to be forgotten, it has 4 stars on trip advisor but could easily slip to 3, for instance the entrance for guests to access their rooms appears slightly unkempt carpeting needed hoovering and paint work could do with a good wash down, this is first impressions. The rooms were comfortable but again areas of dusting appeared not to happen or had not been checked. The bathroom could do with the grouting to be...

The best area to stay in Norley is within the village centre itself, particularly around the main street, Norley Road.
Norley is a relatively small, spread-out village, and staying near Norley Road offers the most convenience. Here, you'll find the local amenities such as the village shop and the primary village pub. It's a pleasant area with a mix of traditional and modern homes, surrounded by green spaces and open countryside.
For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying in Norley provides an excellent base for exploring the surrounding Cheshire countryside. You'll be close to walking and cycling routes, and many accommodation options offer a quiet, rural setting with easy access to the village's limited but useful facilities.
Families will also find Norley appealing due to its quiet nature and proximity to outdoor activities. There are several local parks and nature reserves nearby, such as Delamere Forest, which is just a short drive away and offers extensive trails and family-friendly attractions.
When is the best time to go to Norley?
The best time to visit Norley is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally at its finest.
During this period, you can expect longer daylight hours and milder temperatures, which are ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Cheshire countryside. It's great for enjoying outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, or visiting local gardens and attractions without the chill or rain often associated with other seasons.
Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find this time particularly appealing. The pleasant weather allows for leisurely strolls through the nearby Delamere Forest, enjoying picnics, or simply unwinding in the gardens of Norley's accommodations. Many local pubs and eateries also offer outdoor seating, making for a lovely evening experience.
Families travelling with children will also benefit from a summer visit. The warmer weather makes days out to attractions like the Chester Zoo or the Anderton Boat Lift more enjoyable, and there are often local events and festivals taking place that cater to families.
