Very friendly check in.The location was amazing, a few meters from the beach. Our cabin was spotless and comfortable. The facilities were very good and overall I would class as excellent value for money.

Hotel was lovely, shame about the restaurant, limited specialist food with not a great deal of choice and yet breakfast was fantastic, need to look at the choice of the evening menu.
Check in was manic and I was given someone else's personal details with my name on the top, clearly a data protection issue.

If in Nelson Bay, this is the place to stay.
Welcome was excellent, room was clean with plenty of room and amenities. The pool is great and the bonus is the food/drinks from the Marina food van.

I used this hotel recently (July 15) for a three week stay in Nelson Bay, while I was over from the UK for work at the local RAAF base. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the Shoal Bay Resort, and about a 15 minute walk from the town and marina at Nelson Bay. It is also conveniently located quite centrally for the other areas of interest around the Nelson Bay/Shoal Bay area. Nelson Bay itself is about a half hour drive (at Australian speed limits) from Newcastle Airport. The...

WARNING: avoid if you have a low city car. You will scratch the underneath of your front bumper upon entry into the motel's parking lot, due to the way the street curves (it curves from high in the middle of the street to very low next to the sidewalk).
The accommodation itself was good, no complaints.

Which area of Nelson Bay, New South Wales, Australia is best to stay in for convenient parking?
For convenient parking in Nelson Bay, the main town centre, particularly around Stockton Street and Government Road, is generally your best bet. This central area not only places you amidst the town's amenities but also features several hotels that offer complimentary or easily accessible parking. It's a practical choice for those who value both location and the ease of parking their vehicle.
While the Marina area offers superb access to the waterfront and dining experiences, parking can sometimes be a bit more intricate, as some marina car parks operate outside the council permit system and can become quite busy. Similarly, the foreshore and waterfront areas, including popular spots like Little Beach and Fly Point, are wonderfully walkable, but parking can prove challenging during peak times.
