A lovely place with all the amenities

Our room was nice and clean. The staff were happy and helpful. The full English breakfast was delicious.

Recently refurbished and renovated as a chic bistro winebar and luxury accomodation - throughly enjoyed staying here; would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone - steep stairs to top most floor owing to the age of the building - only negative point .

The attention to detail in each of the rooms (our family occupied 5 of the rooms) is amazing. Each is completely different but presented to a very high standard. We were wanting for nothing and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. A great place to stay in a great location.

I can't recommend Hawkstone Hall highly enough. The location is just stunning, as is the house. Yet despite the grandeur of the place, I never felt anything but totally at ease. The food was easily some of the best I've had, but if I had to choose one thing that really stood out about Hawkstone Hall it was the fact that every member of their staff was an absolute delight.

Lovely stay at Stone Villa. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful. The rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lovely hospitality tray which was topped up each day was very welcome after a long day sightseeing. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed overnight last weekend, a re-visit after our first time last year. We were impressed last time, and again this time, even though our expectations were high from previously. Last year we went after my wife broke her leg, and the pool provided the first time she was able to walk unaided, which made for excellent therapy. The breakfast was really good as were the evening menu choices. In the room, the guide understated the amenities. It was modest about the WIFI capabilities which I thought were actually very good. Similarly, there was a reference to decaffeinated coffee being available for the room on request but it was actually already there.

Stayed over weekend as was seeing Rick Astley concert in the local wonderful delemere forest . Hotel was absolutely wonderful enjoyed our stay more than ever, well done to all the staff it was truely wonderful and we will return to visit the wonderful area surrounding it definitely again

Hartford Hall is lovely, the restaurant does high quality food and the drinks are good. We stayed in a family room which has a double bed and a sofa bed. In general the room was good, it had a good shower and was a decent price for the quality however there were a few little things that could be improved upon. Mainly that the sofa bed was awkward to sit on as the cushions kept on sliding off, the selection of refreshments in the room were not great, (they only had Nespresso coffee which had no...

We arrived late and were greeted by very pleasant helpful hosts who made us feel welcome, great selection for breakfast and cooked food was excellent, I would certainly stay again if down in the area and would recommend Pickmere Country Guest House to friends.
