Dry room is located in the basement level Restaurant is good for both breakfast and dinner with reasonable price. I stayed at room 405, with a view of ski resort but windows cannot be opened. The 2nd night, I was waken in the midnight by noise of dripping water outside, it snowed heavily outside. there were false alarms calling from 4am. No one staff has explained what happened and calmed down their customers. The false alarm stopped at 10 eventually. I found the floor was wet, but not closed to the windows. Believed the wet is leakage from upper floor where onsen is there. Early check-in (ie. before 3pm) needs to pay 2000 yen - we were only told at time of check-in. You even cannot just leave your luggage at the concierge (for free) even though you arrived early - each piece of luggage cost 500 yen. Guests can smoke in the hotel lobby - making the lobby very stuffy. Sunday breakfast was buffet type - very good quality and reasonable number of choices. Mon/Tue only have set breakfast. If you are not too use to traditional Japanese type of of food, you might not find it too attractive. The hotel has seen better days but is clean and reasonably priced. The staff went out of their way to help us in a town where we were the only nonjapanese.
